We are sorry to hear that you are dissatisfied with your experience, Gayle. We understand how frustrating vehicle issues can be. When your vehicle arrived at our dealership, it had been towed in because it would not start. You requested that we inspect the starter after you had already replaced the starter relay and ordered a replacement starter, but wanted to confirm whether the starter itself needed to be replaced. After replacing the starter, the vehicle started and ran. At that point, our technician immediately observed that the low oil pressure warning light was illuminated and that the engine was making significant internal engine noise. We recommended performing an engine oil pressure test to verify whether a mechanical engine issue was present, explaining that this diagnostic was only the initial step and that, if a mechanical failure was confirmed, we would provide an additional estimate before any further repairs were performed. At the time of our inspection, the engine oil level was checked and found to be full. Unfortunately, the engine was not producing oil pressure, indicating an internal mechanical engine problem rather than an issue related to the starting system. We understand this was not the outcome anyone was hoping for. Our recommendations were based on the results of our inspection and diagnostic testing, and our goal was to accurately identify the cause of your vehicle's concerns. Good Afternoon, and I apologize for the issues you had with your vehicle. I am very willing to look into the problems you may have had with your car. The vehicle you are referencing is the 2016 Town & Country with just over 90,000 miles, right? If so, it appears it was not eligible to be a Certified Vehicle due to year and mileage. In cases like this, we either offer the vehicle AS-IS or sometimes offer a 6 mo/6,000 mile Powertrain Warranty. It appears you extended the powertrain coverage beyond that point. With that coverage, it would cover internally lubricated parts, and when we called the Warranty Company, they said, "Engine oil cooler lines are not a powertrain covered repair." As a result, we sent you the estimate to repair the vehicle. I am willing to work with you on the repair and split the cost with you if that is something you would consider. Please let me know if you would like to proceed with that.
