Terrible, not honest, full of BS and not professional. they change the price when you walk in the front door. don't bother going down there unless you want to waste time. they change the price when you walk in the front door. don't bother going down there unless you want to waste time. More
Easy experience, they had me in a new 2021 sentra quickly. Despite my bad credit the finance department was able to get me into a new vehicle. quickly. Despite my bad credit the finance department was able to get me into a new vehicle. More

I mean what can you say this place was slimy and slippery at every stage. I would not ever do business with Bay Ridge Nissan but if you are going to read below for some advice. I called less than 3 hours at every stage. I would not ever do business with Bay Ridge Nissan but if you are going to read below for some advice. I called less than 3 hours before we went in and asked if 3 different cars were available - they said all 3 were, yes. I asked if the prices were valid and she voluntarily suggested that prices were negotiable. Upon our arrival, we met Sasha - we were told that 2 of the 3 cars were not available - one had been sold, and one he "didn't know where it was" (it was the cheapest one of course). IF YOU ARE TOLD SASHA WILL BE YOUR SALESMAN ASK FOR A DIFFERENT ONE. (explained later) While looking at the car we were pretty happy with it and we wanted a test drive. Sasha initially tried to push us into putting a deposit down just to test drive the car. Said he needed a "commitment" to test drive. Say NO. Believe me, they will still let you test drive. After he agreed to let us test drive he decided to tell us that the price was the price and he was NOT willing to negotiate at all. He was very firm on this. During our "test drive" Sasha got in the car with us and directed me repeatedly to take 4 immediate lefts around 1 single block. He even tried to get me to turn in front of an oncoming car because he felt I was too slow. Not only was the test drive super short but I was so distracted by Sasha in my ear that I couldn't even really pay attention to the car as I was driving. It was pointless. Still, because we felt the car was a such a good deal we agreed to talk about pricing. Sasha informed us about 2 separate fees. Roughly $700 for a Preparation Fee and a second fee of about $370 (can't remember why - at no point did they give us any actual paperwork or documents to take home) Of course almost all dealerships add some kind of fees - however, you may be able to negotiate the price with a salesman that is NOT SASHA. After, we went upstairs to talk with a man in Finance named Aleks. He started the conversation by begging us not to pick up the car on Monday (it was Saturday) because he wanted to go home. Thankfully we agreed to Monday because it gave me the chance to research the dealership and cancel our purchase. He put a bunch of numbers up on the screen, treated us like we were idiots, and in general tried to avoid answering my questions. Even after all of the condescension we still decided to submit a financing application (through Captial One). He said at that point we would need to put down a $500 deposit to hold the car while the application was processing. We agreed to do so. As they were running my card - another salesman was nearby talking about how he attempted to negotiate prices with his buyer and the buyer still walked out. THEY WILL NEGOTIATE AT THIS DEALERSHIP JUST NOT SASHA. DO NOT TALK TO SASHA. WALKOUT AND GO BACK ANOTHER DAY UNTIL THEY GIVE YOU A NEW SALESMAN. Over the weekend I read a lot of reviews here about how terrible the car service was at the dealership AND that they were fined $100,000 by NY State in 2014 for ALTERING CONTRACTS AFTER THEY WERE SIGNED and on reviewing the CARFAX I noticed that every single time the car we were buying had been serviced it was at BAY RIDGE NISSAN. Who knows if they did half of the work they put on the Carfax? This place lies through their teeth at every turn. In the end I called them and asked them to refund my deposit. I told them I had found a better deal elsewhere. AT THAT POINT I WAS OFFERED A $1000 REBATE. (Good luck ever getting the rebate) Aleks said they had a meeting that very morning and suddenly there was a rebate on - hold on let me check - OMG THE VERY CAR I WAS TRYING TO BUY. WHAT ARE THE ODDS??? As of now I asked for my $500 refundable deposit back, over 7 business days later and nothing so I was forced to dispute the charge with my bank, luckily they did a reversal. Anyway if I had to give you advice I would say: #1 - DO NOT TALK TO SASHA #2 - DO NOT PUT DOWN A DEPOSIT UNTIL YOU ABSOLUTELY HAVE TO #3 - NEGOTIATE #4 - GET PAPERWORK #5 - SAY NO - A LOT - MAYBE YOU WILL GET BETTER OFFERS FROM THEM More

But since then, I have been calling and emailing Raj, while he has ignored every call and email. I have purchased a car and leased a car from Bay Ridge Nissan. But after this horrific experience just trying to get my $25 refund, I don’t think I’ll be able to continue my business here. I have already filed a dispute with my bank, and have sent them over the email correspondence I had with Raj as my evidence to get my refund. Bay Ridge Nissan has shown that they have no consideration, especially for a loyal customer. Whatever you do, do not go to Bay Ridge Nissan. More
