In my dealings with Fair Oaks Ford over the past week, I was not disappointed. I gave them my requirements for the 2014 Mustang package and they came through with exactly what I requested. What really impressed me is the fact they had to drive to Sheboygan, Wisconsin to secure the vehicle in the time line I needed. New C-Max Hybrid, Mostly Painless Experience I took delivery of a new C-Max last week, and am very happy so far with my purchase. I first stopped by the dealership because old 2002 Ford Focus, pu I took delivery of a new C-Max last week, and am very happy so far with my purchase. I first stopped by the dealership because old 2002 Ford Focus, purchased and serviced at Fair Oaks for 12 years, had been in an accident. I went in looking to purchase a new Focus Hatchback, but wanted some information about the hybrid C-Max. Clint was the first salesman that approached me, and I'm glad he did. He was a pleasure to work with. I explained that I was waiting to hear from my insurance company, hadn't really been in the market for a new car, but was interested in the two different vehicles. My old car only had 75,000 miles over 12 years, and Clint mentioned that if I continued driving at that pace, that economically, the hybrid wouldn't pay for the difference in price. That was an example of the honesty I felt during the whole process with Clint. He explained the pricing policy at Fair Oaks, which had changed from when I last purchased a vehicle. I was more familiar with the Focus, as I would always check them out when having my car serviced, so we went to check out the C-Max. Even though it is on the same wheelbase, the C-Max is longer, higher, and noticeably roomier than the Focus. I also liked the optional foot assisted power read hatch, and some other options available on the C-Max. We went for a mini test drive, around their property, so he could point out things about the vehicle, and answer any questions I had. Unfortunately, as it is the end of the model year, they only had 3 2014 C-Max cars in stock, and only one was the SEL model, that I preferred, but with a few options that I really didn’t want. Clint took me back to his desk, and had me look at his computer as he looked nearby dealers, and what was available for the options I wanted, and what the prices would be. No pressure, just information. A couple of days later, I finally heard from my insurance that the car had been totaled. I called Clint to tell him I was stopping by in a couple if hours to really test drive the C-Max SEL, if it was available. When I had first stopped, the SEL model’s battery was run down, and we weren’t able to really see or drive it. By the time I got there, it was all charged and ready to go. After the test drive, I was sold. We went to see what was available elsewhere, with the options I wanted, and compared that to their car in stock with a few extra options, and I decided to go with their vehicle. Up to this point, a very pleasant experience. Then I went to see the aftermarket service and warranty representatives. First, I talked to Bob about getting “The Protector” package to protect the interior, and exterior of the car. It wasn’t something I was really interested, but listened. This experience was similar to the old car buying experience. We started at one price, with a free remote starter, $500 value. When I wasn’t interested, he took away the starter, and dropped the price by $500. So I guess it wasn’t really free after all. We went back and forth a while longer, until I agreed to take the service. Still, not the same, painless experience as the initial car purchase. A few days later, I had second thoughts about “The Protector” purchase. If my circumstances were different, I would have gone ahead with it. But I no longer have kids to need the extra interior protection, and park in a garage, and not at the outside commuter station all winter, so decided I didn’t want the exterior protection. While Bob wanted to make sure I didn’t want the package, once I made it clear I wasn’t interested, he processed a credit to the loan company. I had a similar experience with the extended warranty product, deciding what I actually needed and wanted, and in the end was satisfied, but, still not the same painless experience and the initial car purchase. Overall, I was very pleased with the Dealership, and with Clint. It’s been only a week, but so far the new C-Max has been great. It would definitely recommend the dealer and salesman to everyone I know, with the one caveat to be aware of what extended warranty or services you might or might not be interested in. It was one thing that I wasn’t prepared for. I didn’t know what I really wanted, so that made it difficult to make the proper educated decision. More

When we did arrive at the store to finalize the paperwork, Craig, Paul, John, Bob and team ensured we were in and out of the store in less than one hour. The negotiation process was fair and reasonable, and the transaction was smooth and seamless. Paul even gave us a red bow to put on the vehicle to surprise our son. As a result of this level of customer service, we will be back in the spring when the lease on our Ford Explorer expires. Thank you! More

However, we had stopped in at Fair Oaks a few years ago and were impressed with the salesperson at then. This time, we wanted to check out the fusion and evaluate whether a hybrid would be a good choice for us given our typical commutes. The Fair Oaks sales staff is very knowledgeable, thorough and professional. We did not feel pressured to close a deal. We initially test drove and then returned to compare the hybrid version to gasoline engine. Dan was patient and helpful. When we made a purchase decision, Fair Oaks did not have the exact car on the lot. Dan was able to locate one as well as having it driven to the dealership within our requested timeframe. He kept us informed of the status along the way. Completing the purchase went just as smoothly. All in all, we are happy with the car buying experience and very happy with our new fusion hybrid. More
