I do not plan on having further service done on my 2008 Santa fe after my experience at family hyundai. I was told that my service would be an hour to an hour and a half. At almost 2 hours I had to seek ou Santa fe after my experience at family hyundai. I was told that my service would be an hour to an hour and a half. At almost 2 hours I had to seek out someone to check the status. No one ever communicated that it would be longer and I was never informed on status even tho I gave my cell number for that purpose. When I spoke to the service manager Eric about thus he threw his service guy under the bus saying that it was on him to keep in touch. When I told him that a good manager takes responsibility, he got angry with me and basically said he managed too many people and he did not have time to make sure everyone was doing their jobs. I then asked him since I was going to be in the market for a new car being that my Santa fe was almost 15 years old why I would want to buy from family hyundai he responded "that's a good question". Well I guess I have my answer. I should add that Collin did call me after I left and offered a free oil change on my next visit. I have worked with Collin for many years while having service done at family hyundai and while I was not impressed with the lack of attention he gave me this time, I don't feel he deserved to be thrown under the bus. More
I had to wait over 2o minutes to check in for an oil change that I scheduled months ago. Being short staffed doesn't matter. Staff was rude when I inquired about the long wait. Mike Major at family Hyundai was our car advisor, he was great, we had some delays during our repair and Mike communicated with us every step.
