I arrived at 8:am without an appointment. I met with Tom who wrote me up and got my car over to the garage to be service. They looked car over to make sure all was well. Sorry excuse for a dealer shop. I took the truck there a couple of years ago for fuel filter change and it wouldn’t crank the next day. I called them and they said for me to have it towed in and they’d look couple of years ago for fuel filter change and it wouldn’t crank the next day. I called them and they said for me to have it towed in and they’d look at it. They wanted me to pay to have it towed to them. I fixed it myself when I found they’d left the bleeder valve open. A typical shade-tree mechanic mistake. Reluctantly, I took it in again in September 2021 to check why the engine was surging, check engine Iight was on and the coolant gauge needle was bouncing up and down. $750 later they said they replaced coolant sending unit, changed the fuel filter housing because it was cracked and cleaned the EGR valve. A month later away from town on a Thanksgiving day 2021 vacation, the same exact symptoms came back. After the holiday, I took it back for them to make it right. 5 days later I called to ask why I haven’t heard from them and left a message to please give me a call. No call-back 24 hours later so I told the receptionist to tell the shop to have my keys ready and I picked my truck up the next day and brought it home. The service manager didn’t even try to discuss the issue with me. I suppose he was happy to swipe my $750 for a shoddy repair that lasted 1 month and then let my truck sit untouched until I got angry and just brought it home. I had even bought a truck from Ferman Chevy Tarpon Springs previously. Don’t walk away. Run away from this horror story of a wanna be dealer / service center. More
