I sadly have to write this review after owning 5 Volvos in my lifetime. My XC40, I have owned it 4 years old, 30,000 some miles, purchased at Ferman Volvo, has a serious safety issue in which no-one can fi in my lifetime. My XC40, I have owned it 4 years old, 30,000 some miles, purchased at Ferman Volvo, has a serious safety issue in which no-one can fix. My vehicle sounds an alarm and then stops short at any speed on any road at any time and because the team at Ferman Volvo cannot duplicate nor fix the issue, I was told I may never return to the dealership and I should take my problem to another dealer, and I am left with a serious safety issue. General Manager of Ferman Volvo Mr. John Reese promised to have a special engineer look at my vehicle, put a special detection box in my SUV so that corporate can detect the problem, and do continued diagnostics of this safety issue. He never followed through with any of his promises. John bribed me with a free oil change and a free air filter. ( I gladly would have paid for this), He had his service team break into my glove box because it was locked causing me more stress and yet another service visit to Ferman Volvo. John is not only rude, but he is not a man of his word. I was told he could not make me happy. John did nothing to fix my safety issues. His team told me that the real problem is I no longer have a warranty. I leased and bought out in 3 years. John would have been wise to work something out for me so everyone was happy and me and my family could be safe with no worries. I am certain if it were his family or friend, he would have made sure he got to the bottom of this very serious safety issue. Up until now I have sent several of my friends and my business clients to Ferman Volvo of Tarpon Springs, but I will no longer recommend this dealership because they do not honor their word. More
