Late this past summer, I was looking to upgrade my 4wd suv. When picking up my car from service, I saw a 2014, 2.0 turbo, AWD, "sport" labeled, suv at Hyundai (where my wife and I have purchases our last suv. When picking up my car from service, I saw a 2014, 2.0 turbo, AWD, "sport" labeled, suv at Hyundai (where my wife and I have purchases our last 4 new autos). Took this $38k vehicle for a ride and found that the tires easily broke free from the road when I accelerated during a turn. The suspension was very soft and not at all sport-like. Drove a few miles away to Foley Motorsports, where my wife had previously found in an online search a black, 2011 Acura RDX w/ turbo, AWD, leather interior and moon roof. I have often stopped at Foley when they were closed, just look at their vehicles - lots of good choices. After looking around at the lot, I arrived at the RDX and our eventual salesman, Zee Avakian, came over and started a conversation. No pressure by him. Took the RDX for a ride and was NOT able to break the tires free from the road. I tried again and again. Solid feet. And fast turbo performance. I loved driving this car. Other than my 2 convertibles that I owned while living in Florida, this was (and is) my favorite car. I had to have this Acura RDX. We agreed on a fair price with Zee. While finance was putting together a package that they knew would be better than our two Credit Unions, we talked with Zee. He is definitely not a typical "used car salesman". Instead, he is a man that I came to respect, a thoughtful husband and a loving father. Beautiful family. When we returned to pickup the RDX, we brought a bottle of champagne (labeled "Z") and a dozen glass flutes. We celebrated our Acura RDX purchase with Zee, other Foley Motorsports' associates and one customer. When looking to purchase another used car, I will definitely return to Foley Motorsports and Zee Avakian. I highly recommend them for your next automobile purchase. I found Zee to be an extremely easy person to deal with during the whole process. He was upfront and honest, not overbearing or hard selling in any way. He offered reasonable advice but was not pushy and allowed my wife and I to make our own decision. The only thing he pushed a little for was a refundable downpayment to hold the car we were interested in until we made the final decision, which seemed to me a reasonable request as they seemed to move a lot of cars. Zee's customer service was excellent, he was very responsive to email/texts and worked to fit things into our schedule. My experience with the other aspects of Foley Motorsports were favorable as well. They did a very good job buffing and reconditioning the car, and quickly took care of the few little repair requests I had. They don't move a lot on price, but the initial price was one of the best I found. I scour the internet researching cars and prices, but I'm not much for haggling. Might be able to find a better deal somewhere else, but you'll have to work hard to get it. They made the financing decision easy, had very good rates that bested my credit union options. We had been looking for months for a slightly used 2012 or 2013 ML 350. On a sunday afternoon we ran across one at Foley Motorsports and called to see if it was available for a test drive. Zee told us that the sales manager had taken the car and wasn't sure when it would be returning. Instead of waiting, he went and picked up the car from the sales manager and brought it to our house. I'm sure everyone reading this will now expect the same level of service, however, it worked out that the car was actually within a couple miles of the house. They gave us a fair price on the trade in we had, and made everything easy for us through the entire process. Zee was forthright and honest through the entire sale, and followed through providing the spare key for the vehicle after the sale. Overall, we were very pleased with the service at Foley and will definitely return in the future. More
