Company car use Came looking for a used 2013 Highlander. It was late but the employee after some computer and foot research found the car. He then disappeared w Came looking for a used 2013 Highlander. It was late but the employee after some computer and foot research found the car. He then disappeared with a handful of paper towels for about 10 minutes. He then showed us the car and allowed my wife to drive it. She noted a tennis ball and fast food bag that he had missed apparently but she liked the car and we committed to it. The employee said it would be cleaned and ready the next day. A second employee was tasked to do the financing and paper work and even though it was after closing he made the process personal, efficient and clear even to my wife whose English is problematic. We came back and closed but only one remote was available, he promised to look for the other. On driving away we noticed that the car was still covered in white dog hair and the dog had obviously ridden in the front passenger seat as the leather has nicks in it (the car came to the dealer with 29K miles and we bought it at 30.5K miles. Later the second remote magically appeared. So it looks like an employee (and dog) used the car and not too wisely. So the moral here is make sure that if an employee may have driven the car, you should look at it a bit more carefully before you pay the asking price and then accept the car. More
