I had a Overall, good place to purchase a vehicle from. The staff was cordial and knowledgeable. The price was fair and out front (no hidden fees). I had an issue regarding the delivered car, it wasn't the car that I negotiated for. Instead, I was given another car (very similar though) from another dealer that was driven to Freehold. Consequently, I ended up getting a car that was possible test driven multiple times (instead of the car that I negotiated that was supposed to be in transit from the factory). Freehold Hyundai SHOULD OF inform me and given me the option to either have them bring this other car from another dealer or have me wait for the car in transit. This decision should of being mine and not theirs. More
Unprofessional Staff I recently purchased a 2015 Hyundai Santa Fe Sport Ultimate from your Freehold Hyundai (part of the Bram Auto Group) in Freehold, NJ. The following is I recently purchased a 2015 Hyundai Santa Fe Sport Ultimate from your Freehold Hyundai (part of the Bram Auto Group) in Freehold, NJ. The following is going to be an account of my experience with the dealership and my dissatisfaction with the staff. I would leave 0 stars if I could. My experience started to go down hill after the negotiation period was complete. I waited for well over an hour for financing (Kristina) to come present the package/s to me. I just sat there, alone, at that table with no one coming to me asking if I was ok, or offering me a beverage or even lunch. After saying something to Manny about the time frame, Kristina magically appeared from the office (didn't even have anything printed at this point) and rammed the financing options down my throat and talking about extended warranties and gap insurance and all these extra things. I really felt like I had been attacked. She came back 20 minutes later with the paper copy of the options and I decided to go with the extended coverage due to the fact that she made it sound like I would be "left in the cold" without it. She did discount it and I thought that was fair. Keep in mind - at this point I am at the dealer for five (5) hours. We sign all the paper work and then I have to wait again for the insurance guy to "transfer" my insurance to the new vehicle. This took another 45 minutes of waiting. After all this was completed, I still had to transfer items from my trade to the new vehicle (car seats etc). After all of this was done, I realized that "clean up" didn't even bother to fill up the gas tank - I had to wait even longer now for a voucher to go fill it up. Total time spent in dealer was well over six (6) close to seven (7) hours. Never once did the sales manager or any other manager come to see me or speak with me. Meanwhile, I have just spent $28k dollars. I live in Delaware, and the selling dealer is to collect a "doc fee" for the Delaware DMV of 4.25%. They did this and said they (dealer) would take care of registering the vehicle and I would be mailed a license plate. Excellent, one less thing for me to do. I passed by the Delaware DMV that following Wednesday and they gave me an "application for title" for Delaware. I filled it out, scanned it and emailed it to Kristina and Audriena at the dealer. I heard nothing. Several days later I emailed Kristina I was asked to send additional documentation (which I didn't have and is not required). Since I got no where with Kristina (who stopped answering my emails, and has YET (2 weeks later) to return a single phone call to me) I got in touch with Audriena. After going back and forth with her via a phone call and several emails - she stopped communicating with me. I was issued a 20 day non resident temp tag from NJ which was expiring on June 1 2017. On Tuesday (5/30) of this week I left messages at Freehold Hyundai for Kevin (Sales Manager), Audriena (both email and voicemail), Manny (spoke to in person) and Kristina. I will tell you that I received not a single return phone call or email. Here I am, with a temp tag that is expiring in less than 48 hours on vehicle that I have just spent $28k on and will not legally be able to drive. Imagine the frustration I am starting to feel??? Keep in mind, I work at a dealer in Glen Mills, PA and this is not the 1st time I have purchased a vehicle from a dealer and I have been in the service industry for more than 25 years. This is not the way to treat your customers. I finally decided to go one step higher... remembering that Freehold Hyundai is part of Bram Auto Group, I googled Bram in New Jersey and located a corporate phone number. After speaking with a young lady named Erin (I think), she transferred me to Diane Arnold. I explained to Diane what was going on and how I was completely unable to reach anyone in the dealer and I asked for her help. Diane told me she would call me back in 25 minutes or less after she gathered some information. I asked her if I could just get a refund for the doc fee and a title and I would go back to the DMV and get the vehicle registered on Wednesday (they are open until 8pm). 24 minutes later Diane called me back and did exactly that. She is a super hero and resolved my problem. My issue here is that I feel like once my money was spent, the relationship ended and no one cares. I feel like a pawn on a chess board so to speak. Freehold Hyundai knows they will never see me again because they are obviously Hyundai dealers much closer to me here in DE than 84 miles away in Freehold, NJ so they can just "ignore" me and I will go away. I am having trouble with the fact that not even the SALES MANAGER (Kevin) would not even call me back to find out what the actual situation is and more so the aggressiveness of Kristina and then to completely blow me off and leave a huge problem hanging in the balance. Bad place to do business. More
