Honestly, after 2 service appointments I'm not that impressed. First took WAY too long - enough that I had to complain as I was about to miss another appointment. This time, the service speed was w impressed. First took WAY too long - enough that I had to complain as I was about to miss another appointment. This time, the service speed was within expectations (90 mins). However, the car had been washed and was a dripping mess (wipe it down or at least a good blow). The inside hadn't been touched at all as far as I can tell. That's all fine if I'm going to Jiffy Lube, but not what I'd expect from the dealer after spending over $50k on a car. The video: Seemed to take as much time telling me what the car was as telling me anything about the mechanical condition. Pointed out that the cabin and engine air filters were dirty and I should take care of that - WHAT? So, essentially, this 2 year maintenance is nothing but an over-slow oil change with the same upsell efforts I get anywhere? Noted. To be clear, I would expect the filters to be changed in this situation. Again, new car, high price, is it really too much to expect? In the end, I'm happy enough with the car, as I have been my previous 2 used Toyotas. The service staff is friendly and fine as well. But all things considered this 2-year maintenance is not really what I would expect and a fair disappointment. Note: Not really a complainer, but these things really struck me (and time is extremely important to me). I didn't revisit the fine print of the maintenance agreement and it's possible air filters, wipe downs, or cabin vacuuming aren't meant to be included. But it's about perception and expectations, and what I'm coming away with is definitely not something that's going to be a positive influence on my next car purchase decision. More
