I stopped in at Garavel Subaru because I am interested in the Subaru BRZ. I spoke to Miles for a few minutes about what I look for in a car and what type of driving I do. He even pointed out a specific route to take to experience the car's handling prowess. He was right, it was a great road and a great car. His friendliness and courtesy made sure that Garavel will be the first place I will stop by when I am finally ready to pull the trigger. I highly recommend this dealer to anyone considering a Subaru. We bought my wife's 07 Outback here (new). We are giving that vehicle to our daughter and my wife needed (wanted) a new vehicle. They were happy to take us on a drive but we did not have time and came back a few days later for a test drive. I was concerned about the CVT on the Outback. Should not have been, handles well. Matt was extremely polite and friendly. Then cam the negotiation. I was ready with the TMV from Edmunds but we ended up with a different model, and a '12 rather than '13 (we got the 2.5i Limited, very nice vehicle, handled well, quiet, plenty of power for her, leather, H/K audio). So, I said I needed to come back but the inventory guy pulled up the Edmunds site and we looked at the TMV and compared to their price. Their price was a tad higher claiming Edmunds had the invoice wrong (it did differ from the sticker). Even then, it was a below invoice price. Next, finance guy who I assumed would be high pressure on aftermarket warranty, add-ons and so forth. I said we did not want any and he said okay, completed the paperwork and we were out of there. Matt needed info from our registration and asked me to fax it, scan it, or he could pick up a copy, which he need. Sweet guy. We did the pick up 2 days later because we weren't ready with the plates, and that was not an issue for them. I was ready to do battle with them after reading some awful reviews on another site, but, frankly, I saw none of that behavior or pricing. They have lots of stock, decent people, good prices. My wife brought the '07 there exclusively for service and they always were on time, competent, courteous. More

I purchased my WRX at this dealership. The purchase did not go well as the price was raised and then lowered, however, they did charge me for a spoiler which was not on the car. This was subsequently refunded, but took several weeks. On the service side, I brought the car in for a noise issue, which was not resolved. When I complained & wrote a negative review, the owner, Paul Garavel banned me from the dealership & refused to provide further service. Fortunately, other Subaru dealers were more than willing to service my vehicle & IMO have greater technical competence than Garavel Subaru. More

I have copies of the pictures if you would like them to show people. God and the Subaru she was driving kept her safe. Then she bought a Subaru Legacy in 2009 after that happened. She was hit by an unlicensed driver in Stamford, CT and the car received a bit of damage. Fortunately she was kept safe. She had some other incidents with the car and was kept safe. She wanted to trade the Subaru Legacy in for a larger car and had had trouble with the legacy. She is a single Mom of a two year old who is working and going to college to become a nurse. Mike Simeone and Miles Shapiro helped to make it possible for her to get the larger car that she needed. They worked with us to make it happen. They were friendly and pleasant to work with.
