False Quotes to Get the Customer into the Door Garden State Honda emailed me, July 30th, 2018 at 11:45am, a quote for a new 2018 Honda Accord Sport 1.5 in white. The quote contained the VIN number Garden State Honda emailed me, July 30th, 2018 at 11:45am, a quote for a new 2018 Honda Accord Sport 1.5 in white. The quote contained the VIN number of the vehicle 1HGCV1F35JA098588. I called the the dealership and confirmed with Amy Beltran who had sent the email that the price of the car was $20,395.00. Amy also confirmed the additional dmv fees, destination fee, tax fees, etc for about $23,500 out the door price. I again called in the evening of that same day I spoke to the Ernest Howe, who again confirmed the car price, the additional fees, and the out the door price. Ernest confirmed it was a done deal. The following day, July 31, around 10am, I walked into the dealership asked for Ernest who came down and shook my hand. Ernest refereed me to Casey Ryland a sales associate. I asked Casey if it was a done deal he said it was a done deal. Casey starts to draft the contract. I ask Casey in the meantime to bring the car from their lot of site which he complies. When the vehicle arrived we noticed the VIN number is different. In the meantime I ask Casey if their was anything wrong with the car that I was quoted because it was $2k dollars less than other offers I had received. Casey looks at the VIN number and goes onto the Garden State Honda's website and realizes that other similar models are $2k more expensive. At this point he states he needs to speak with his General Manager regarding the offer. After 15 minutes or so sales manager Federico Vargas comes to where we are sitting along with Casey and states he can not sale us the vehicle at the quoted price. I ask Federico as to way if I had already confirmed the price with Amy and Ernest. Federico simply states the quote I received was incorrect and that they are not responsible for inaccuracies. I asked him to honor the price which Federico declined to do so. At which point I told Federico this was the classic bait and switch with false advertising. Federico responded that he disagreed and that he could not sell the vehicle at the price I was quote via email and on the phone. Federico or any other representative at the dealer never stated that the vehicle I was quoted had been sold. We got up and left the dealer disgusted with their untruthfulness. More
Lisa is simply AMAZING! I actually was scheduled to meet with another sales person; however, he was busy and a manager suggested that I met with Lisa regarding my needs. Lisa was very inviting and friendly. She assured me that we would look at cars that were best suitable for my family and budget. She paid attention to my wants and concerns. She even had one of the tall managers sit inside the SUV that I was interested in to assure me that my husband would be able to fit in the front passenger seat. =0). When it came to the numbers/cost she made sure that the financial advisor stayed within my budget. As we waited for everything to be finalized, we engaged in a great conversation and Lisa was very helpful in sharing some suggestions in regarding to our conversation. I really enjoyed spending my Saturday with Lisa. I would DEFINITELY recommend my family and friends to her and I will certainly be K.I.T. with my new friend! =0) Bishoy was also very helpful and patient. I always dread this part of the process (the finance department) but I must say it too was also a pleasant experience. He worked within my budget and DID NOT make me feel pressured to buy into anything. He also throw in some goodies for me; which I really appreciated. I must say this car shopping experience was overall PERFECT! More

Odyssey experience I had an overall positive experience at Garden State Honda. The sales rep I worked with, Casey Ryland was very professional and a pleasure to work wit I had an overall positive experience at Garden State Honda. The sales rep I worked with, Casey Ryland was very professional and a pleasure to work with. It was a hot summer day, and the AC didn't work in the showroom and it was incredibly uncomfortable. I had to buy multiple bottles of water to not dehydrate. I bought a new car, but had to return multiple times to their service department in the first month for things one wouldnt expect to be issues with a new car. For example, the panel covering the motorized buttons on the driver's seat was off from the start and had to be re-affixed. The walk away auto lock also didnt work properly. We discovered it was due to being kept in the same pocket as my Iphone, but that wasnt in the manual as something to avoid. It took a few trips to figure this out, and their passaic service place was helpful but the multiple trips to correct were annoying. More
