Recall work messed up my car I took my 2013 Ford Focus to Green Ford in Greensboro, NC on Tuesday, September 17, 2019 for the most recent recall I was notified about by mail conce I took my 2013 Ford Focus to Green Ford in Greensboro, NC on Tuesday, September 17, 2019 for the most recent recall I was notified about by mail concerning the Powertrain Control Module (PCM) not being updated as intended. This could result in the Canister Purge Valve (CPV) malfunctioning, possibly causing excessive vacuum in the fuel vapor management system. Let me make it clear, the car was not having any issues at all before scheduling the recall work. I was only trying to be proactive since I was notified by Ford that my vehicle could be affected. I picked it up the same day, and although the car was NOT having any issues prior to taking it in for the recall work, it immediately began stalling and the engine light came on. I called them and took it back on Monday, September 23 (because they were too busy to look at it before then) and the same problem happened AGAIN after picking it up a second time. I took it back to them again on Wednesday evening, September 25. They called today Thursday, September 26 and told me that the problem is not with the recall, but rather the catalytic converter and it will cost $1400 to fix. Of course I’m not happy about this phone call at all because, like I said, the car had NO issues before taking it in for the recall work and being told it was “coincidence” the problem started immediately after the recall work and that it not having issues before is my “perception” of the situation. Also, the OBD codes do not and have not indicated anything wrong with the catalytic converter or O2 sensor... The code that has been registering is U0140 - lost communication with body control module. As a result of the way I’ve been treated, I will be filing a complaint with the Better Business Bureau. This will be the last Ford I ever own and I will drive to another state before I ever trust Green Ford Service department with anything I own. More

The work was terrible. Everyone who helped me was friendly and knowledgeable as always. I've been going to this location for service for 5+ years and will definitely continue to do so in the future. More

Horrible and Deceptive I brought a Honda HRV 5 days ago and noticed today that the driverside rear-door will not lock. So I returned today to get the problem fixed and was told by Garrett that I test drove the car and it was fine. How in the xxxx do you test drive a car and notice the doors don't lock? Then he tells me I bought the extended warranty but it doesn't go into effect until 10/20 and the replacement is covered I will just need to pay the deductible. I wasn't about to argue with him so I walked out. Green ford knew this was a problem and didn't fix it and now I know why Ashley pushed the extended warranty by mentioning it covers electronics. I will be sending my contract and talking to my family attorney at Hyatt Legel to see where I stand. This is bad business to sell something you knew had a problem and then hide behind the extended warranty to cover it. I will never recommend Green Ford as an HONEST dealer. They are very deceptive. This is why people stop paying for cars when you have to deal with crappy dealers like Green Ford. I have half a mind to call the finance company and tell them to come get this xxxx car. YES over a malfunctioning door lock. More
