Arbitrary Exclusion of Advertised Coupon Enticed by a "15% off major services" coupon received in e-mail, I made an appointment to have my car's brake pads replaced and confirmed over the pho Enticed by a "15% off major services" coupon received in e-mail, I made an appointment to have my car's brake pads replaced and confirmed over the phone that the coupon is applicable. Upon check-in, the sale staff immediately disclaimed the coupon, citing that they already offered a competitive price on brakes. So their coupons only apply to inflated prices? I pointed out brake services are not excluded in the fine prints of the coupon and asked to see their manager, who happened to be unavailable that day. After much debate, the assistant manager on site finally agreed to honor the coupon as "one-time courtesy." This attempt to renege on an advertised coupon unfortunately tarnished an otherwise satisfactory service experience. More
