Haasz is a Hot Mess! Haasz Automall: First the good. I can’t complain about the price I paid or the salesman who I dealt with, Rick McCoy. They definitely had the lowest Haasz Automall: First the good. I can’t complain about the price I paid or the salesman who I dealt with, Rick McCoy. They definitely had the lowest advertised price on car gurus and Rick was patient considering he was put in the middle of a situation created by internet sales manager, Heather Isom, and General sales manager, Andy Huzvar. Now for the bad. There is one issue I have and that is with how Haasz Automall does business. Here’s my experience: I called in several times to inquire on a Ram truck that was advertised on their website, and each time spoke to a lady named Heather Isom. She told me during the course of several conversations that I could take my truck home the same day and quoted me an “out the door price” in writing via email. So I made the trek to Ravenna two days speaking to her as soon as my work schedule allowed (July 1st) and met with sales person, Rick. After driving 80 miles to buy the truck, Rick now informs neither of the trucks I called about are on the lot. In fact,he says they’ve been sitting at an airport in Toledo since June 16th along with 25 other trucks, and it will be here any day. (The ad I replied to via phone calls with Heather didn’t say “coming soon” as it should have). My wife and I were shocked. Why didn’t Heather tell me this? I specifically had told Heather I needed to take the truck home that day! Then he asks, “who told you it was here”? I told him, “Heather”. So, instead of walking out, I ended up driving a similar model. We sit down and make the deal without a definite eta for the truck that I came to buy. However, I was assured by sales manger, Andy, that my truck, stock #6645, would be in any day now and I believed him. Not only that, but he would have someone deliver it to my house. So anyway, here it is July 10th, and I’m still waiting for a truck to come in that was both advertised on the website and told I could take home on July 1st. So, if you’re reading this rant, just know that these folks will do whatever it takes to make a sale. But my opinion is there should be limits when it comes to keeping your word with the customer even if it is over the phone. I was drawn to Haasz based on price point and inventory. In fact, I would have been ok with a straight up, “sorry we don’t have the trucks listed on our website”. So please, just be honest or at least take the time to do a physical check of your inventory. Unless something drastically changes real soon, I highly recommend against purchasing from Haasz. So, if you want to purchase and take home a vehicle that day folks, it’s a gamble. Is Haasz under-staffed... ? Carrying too much inventory... ? Playing a common over the phone car dealer tactic...? I don’t know, but hey at least be straight with the customer - both on the phone and face to face... It’s no wonder so many people feel scammed every time they walk into a car dealership like this one... That’s my .02 and rant! The end... More
