I would strongly suggest to look elsewhere for your next Kia. After two days of back and forth to come to a deal for a certified used '21 model Kia, to include home delivery a few hours away we were so hap Kia. After two days of back and forth to come to a deal for a certified used '21 model Kia, to include home delivery a few hours away we were so happy. That ended on a Saturday. Monday, had papers sent to our CU to get the loan, that was done. Everything was going to happen on Wed. Tuesday get a call from the salesman that said sorry the car is going to have to go up $1,000 because we put it through service and it needed items. Now, Imagine my confusion when we negotiated this deal. Had the signed agreement on the purchase price for a 21 model already certified with home delivery, according to the website and Carfax this car was certified three weeks ago. Why is this vehicle having to go back through service and now they were trying to change our deal. I won't fill up the page with all of the back and forth that happened (several hours of calling back and forth), but at first they offered to honor the price but not have the car certified, which again it was listed as certified. We negotiated on and signed a deal with that, or the higher price to keep it certified. Oh and they weren't going to now deliver it to us. We had to drive the 6-hour round trip. This was so infuriating. I was so mad I decided to find another vehicle (with less miles), test drove that one and negotiated the same price. The next morning the used car manager called and offered to keep the car certified at the original price but they weren't going to put the new tires on( they already told me they put the new tires on. That was the reason for the big cost) at first we agreed. At this point we couldn't trust anything they said so we went ahead, canceled the loan and got a loan for the new car at a dealer that won't change the deal at the last minute. When we texted that we didn't want the car, not long after I got a call from the Chief finance person who said that's not how they do business and it was handled wrong(ya think). Yada yada yada. Too late. That's how you DID business and I don't think it was the first time. They changed the signed deal and tried to take advantage of a 25-year-old buying their first car and as the father in the situation that wasn't going to fly. Just know if you are trying to buy and get an out the door price on the phone. They're not going to stay to what they signed. Be prepared for them to change the deal because clearly that's okay. If you're in a dealership, just be very wary of them trying to slip in other costs and make sure you understand your budget and look at every number critically. Because despite the fact you might sign the buyer order, they will try to change it. More
