This dealership is always over the top friendly and service is awesome! I never dread going in to see Steve Denson. He makes the process so easy and always such a pleasure to work with. I've been with him for 10 years and plan to be with him another 10. I highly recommend Hamer Toyota and Steve Denson if you want a superb car buying experience and continued service. More
Purchase experience 2017 Camry We just purchased a 2017 Camry from Hamer. The sales price was slightly better than competing dealers but what a mistake we made going to Hamer. The sales guy, Steven Robles, took forever to finally deliver the car, even though we already had a confirmed and printed price from there internet sales rep., and even though we paid cash. We just waited and waited, with no apparent progress. The car detailing was done while we were waiting for the registration documents, when most dealers fill the tank and detail the car after the price is agreed upon. After several hours at Hamer, we were finally able to go home, hungry and tired. The car was delivered without a plastic folder to contain all of the owners manuals. I have requested it twice from Steven Robles and after a week, I still don't have one. On the 3rd day of ownership, the check engine light went on. Seems to be a faulty gas cap. I asked Robles to send me a new cap so I don't have to make the drive from Camarillo to Mission Hills but he will not. He said he did not want to spend all of his commission on buying me a new cap. Even though this is my 3rd Toyota from Hamer. Mr. Robles is consistently late in returning calls and responding to emails, if in fact he follows up at all. Yesterday morning, he told me that he would have his customer relations representative call me later but as per Hamer operations go, there was no call. My advice is do not do business with Hamer. As important as a favorable price is, service and communication after the sale is even more important. DO NOT BUY A CAR FROM HAMER!!! More

An OK Experience I bought a lightly used 2016 Tundra 4x4. It took over 5 hours to complete the deal even though we knew exactly what we wanted. There were very long periods of 30 minutes or more where we were left waiting for either finance, the sales manager or some other thing. We had to come back for more waiting as the floor mats and one of the fobs was missing. They tried to hand me torn mats saying these came out of the truck. The truck had barely 8K on the clock and was "Certified" Why would you go cheap on mats? In the end, they took mats from another used truck and gave them to me. This was an OK experience. I've had better and I've had much much worse. Our salesman was helpful and cheerful and the finance guy didn't try and pressure us into buying extra junk. More

Hamer Toyota is Number 1 in every department I have been customer at Hamer since 1999. The Camry we bought then still being used by my son over 200,000 miles. Easier than I expected. I needed a car because my 14 year old Camry was totaled last June. So, I did my research and got quotes from different dealers, and decided to go with I needed a car because my 14 year old Camry was totaled last June. So, I did my research and got quotes from different dealers, and decided to go with Hamer because it seemed so easy talking to their agent (Steven Robles) on the phone. Since we can only go on a Saturday, I already knew it will take longer than the two hours max I hoped for. When we got there, Steven showed me a couple of options we discussed, test drove one, picked another, weighed my options, and made a decision. We waited a bit for the 'final segment' (accounting), but I appreciated that I wasn't "forced" to agree to buy extra insurance stuff, like when we bought my Camry 14 years ago. Overall, it was a great experience. More
