Was I really treated so well buying a car??? In search of the perfect new car, we went last Sunday to Hassett of Wantagh to look at their new Subarus. We were greeted by salesman Al Omar as we e In search of the perfect new car, we went last Sunday to Hassett of Wantagh to look at their new Subarus. We were greeted by salesman Al Omar as we entered the showroom. Mr. Omar offered to show us around or just leave us alone to look. Seeking his advice on the model that would best suit our needs, we sat with him for over an hour as he explained the differences in the model in which we were interested. Although the dealership did not have the color I wanted, Al offered to call all the dealerships on Long Island until he found the color and model I wanted. Despite the fact that Monday is his day off, he called several franchises and found the car I wanted and had it delievered to the dealership in Wantagh for Wednesday. After I arrived, he showed me the car to be sure it was what I wanted, and demonstrated the prominent features. He was unfailingly patient, showing off all the bells and whistles until he was sure I was competent. He processed the paper work, carefully explaining each document I signed. The gentleman who processed my paperwork for the the extended warrantees, Dan, was equally patient and professional. My experience in dealing with the gentlemen at this dealership was superb. As I left to drive off in my beautiful new car, Al asked that I text him to let him know I got home safe. Who does this? Amazing Friendly Caring Al Omar was very courteous and friendly. He helped us get into a Subaru and we experienced some trouble with a couple of things to deal with the car. Best car shopping experience ever! I cannot even begin to describe how wonderful the experience at Hasset of Wantagh was. We went in on a Sunday morning and were promptly greeted by Al I cannot even begin to describe how wonderful the experience at Hasset of Wantagh was. We went in on a Sunday morning and were promptly greeted by Al Omar. He explained all of our options throroughly and truly seemed like he wanted to help us get the car we were interested in. He was kind and helpful and included my 12 year old son in the whole process. We came back a few hours later and purchased a Forester. Everything from that point on went so smoothly and quickly. At first we thought we would have the car the following week, but we were thrilled when Al called to tell us we could have the car in a few days. Everyone at the dealership, from the finance person to the other salesmen to those in the service department (I had to stop in quickly to get a part that we ordered) were professional, friendly, and helpful. The whole experience was a pleasure. I can't see ever going to another car dealership since we were treated with such respect at Hasset. More
