Good afternoon, Disgusted22, we are disappointed to hear that you are having an issue with your third-party navigation system and would like to see if there is anything we can do for you. At Headquarter Honda, we do not recommend the installation of third-party Honda approved or after-market products as they are not manufactured by Honda and are not factory installed. So being told that Honda does not refit would be a correct statement. May we ask which dealership did you call, vendor and/or dealership you purchased the navigation system and the Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) so we can verify the trim of your Honda. When were you told “too bad,” as this to be addressed immediately by our Customer Relation Director with the appropriate Associate(s). This is very unacceptable and must be addressed. The car was purchased from Headquarter Honda in Clermont. The navigation system was sold through the salesperson who sold us the car and installation was arranged by Honda at a Classic Soft Trim shop in Longwood. The VIN number 1HGCP36869A032161 . I would have bought the car without the navigation system and the $800.00 charge if I had been told it couldn't be installed in the dash.

Good afternoon, Disgusted22, thank you for your patience and please read through our entire reply. We want you to know we understand what you have gone through these past weeks on this unit and are so sorry you had that experience with equipment no longer working. We spoke to Classic Soft in Longwood about your recent visit to them. Their General Manager, Ross, explained that there was no means to determine why the navigation/Bluetooth rearview mirror unit went blank. Classic Soft did check with the manufacturer and confirmed through Classic Soft’s corporate offices that the unit you have is out of warranty (the warranty being 36 months/36,000 miles). Ross wanted to help you since it was out of warranty and there is no easy means to determine if the blank screen was due to a factor that would have be covered under warranty or not. Ross offered you, what he thought was an extremely fair and reasonable solution, a replacement unit at a reduced rate (normally $600.00) and without labor to install. He offered to wave the installation/labor fee of $120.00 and sell you a new unit (which would have full warranty) at two-thirds his cost for $200.00 total. You were unhappy with this offer of resolution. Our General Sales Manager, Tom, has offered to replace the current failed unit with a new unit installed by Classic Soft. Please let us know if this is an acceptable resolution for you. Again, we wish you expressed your concerns with management at the time of purchase and delivery after the install of the unit; we would have been able to easily correct the situation. Thank you for letting us know now about this and providing us with the opportunity to make things better. The Headquarter Team

That sounds very nice, except we Berber spoke to General Manager Ross. The only person we spoke to was a tech . He told us the unit was broken and could not be repaired. My husband asked the price of a new unit, there was no mention of waving labor fees. We would like to have a functioning unit. What would the cost be?

The cost would have been $200.00 to you, but our General Sales Manager, has offered to replace the current failed unit at no cost to you since you were treated so poorly by Mr. Datollo and that is not how we want nor treat our guests.
