While people have driven cars without blind-spot monitors for years, the problem is that as a "safety feature" the warning message covers all other messaging (temperature, radio, etc) on the central panel - and of course, you have no blind-spot monitor. In addition, for this last service visit which lasted 4 days I needed to drive to my downtown office (instead of taking the bus), paying for parking and gas each day wondering/hoping if that day would be the day my car was fixed. The only day the service rep called was on the last day; all other days, I called around 4:15 - 4:30 to find out what was going on. They day the service rep was off, I couldn't get any information. As long as I had to bring the car in, I asked to have the emissions test done - two different service visits. Both times it wasn't done. The first time because the service rep was new (?!?); the second time because the machine was broken. And btw, so was the car wash. Best people in the place - the Cashiers. Alex was also good when we came in to talk about the end of the lease which is next month. The thought of having to deal with this service department gives my husband and I reason not to want to start over with a new car from Heiser. Too annoying. More
