Pleasant experience I was able to setup a really good deal through the internet group. This was followed up by conversations with the sales group(Scott S) who was able to I was able to setup a really good deal through the internet group. This was followed up by conversations with the sales group(Scott S) who was able to produce order paperwork and send via email so I could get $ from my bank. The trip to dealership for delivery was just as painless. Scott had a really good in depth understanding of the vehicle(JGC), probably more than any auto sales person I had dealt with for the past couple of decades. He took all the time required to review the features and operation of the vehicle(lots of tech to go over) Good follow up after delivery as well Really seems to be customer focused, a rare quality in the industry I had just walked away from a deal a Stateline Jeep due to sleazy stereotypical high pressure attics and hidden fees. I was able to pull together purchase with Hendrick within 24 hours in a totally pleasant manner All I hope is that the vehicle lives up to my very high expectations More
How to Destroy a Sale Over the last few weeks I have been stopping into this dealership in search of a Challenger. My first two experiences at the dealer with Rick and St Over the last few weeks I have been stopping into this dealership in search of a Challenger. My first two experiences at the dealer with Rick and Stan were very positive which solidified my decision to purchase from Rick. Tonight I returned to the dealer asking for Rick but was informed he was off today. John Lala immediately came over to let me know Rick was not available and how could he help find what I need. Then Vic joined in to push for me to test drive a car older and not the color I wanted. While I decided to take a test drive I was not comfortable with not dealing with Rick but figured if we were to get together on a deal I would push for Rick to get at least half the credit. After the drive this is where it fell apart. On my return to the dealership I told John I would entertain a price on the car, but it would have to be a great deal because of age and color. He went off for a bit to come back saying he would need to get Vic or Stan to put together the numbers. I asked for Stan to be involved because of my past positive experience with him and I was not impressed with Vic. Stan came over with the initial number which was substantially higher than the car was worth even given the lower mileage. He asked of a number which I told him based on where he was negotiating would be an insult, but he pressed anyway. He commented the price he was quoting was fair market value, but I returned a number significantly lower than his asking price. After going to negotiate he came back with a number still a couple of thousand dollars higher than I was willing to pay so we pleasantly said good by. After my return home I decided to do research on the value of the car to see if I was really off in my offer. I was amazed to find that the fair market value I found given mileage, options and condition was in line with what I offered and thousands less than the first offer. In addition one if the sites gave a reference price when this was new back in 2009 which was only $1-$2 thousand more than they were asking for it as a used car. While they noted this was a certified car (doubtful given there was loos e trim and other items which were not repaired as expected to find on a certified vehicle) the price was thousands above what all the rating sites and even other dealers we're offering as fair market value. It is unfortunate this all happened because I was prepared to give this dealer my business, however given the practice of high retail prices, add on stickers with features with minimal value, and what appeared to be disregard for Rick as pressing to make a sale without him, I will not be back to this or any Hendrick dealership again. I am doing this because I want to make sure everyone goes in with their eyes open. I believe in a business making a fair profit, but what I found to me is excessive based on many other past car buying experiences. Yes I see all of the positive reviews, but this reviewer clearly went from receiving what was building as a similar great experience to one that was destroyed in a matter of 2 hours. This is an edit the day after.... To make matters worse this morning when I checked the dealer website the car was at a price much less than what was originally offered last night. It also said the price had been adjusted a couple weeks ago. So again more to establish lack of ability to trust this dealer to provide a straight shooting deal. Also wanted to make sure this was NO reflection on Rick who I still consider a stand up salesman. More

Well I had purchased A Challenger from Hendrick previously and well if the dang car had a rattle that the dealership just couldn't get at. So after going in several times to get it fixed I figured why not get a truck. Well after talking with Paul Boyd, I found out I had gone to College with his son and so as I continued talking with Paul I felt at ease with him as his son who is a great colleague. Paul listened to my concerns about the car and my questions regarding getting into a truck. He was proficient in getting all the data I needed and showed me what I could get into. His ability to have the answer to my questions made me feel comfortable and made it a hands down choice in getting the Ram. Paul's commitment in ensuring that all my needs, questions, concerns, and requests were met with a satisfactory reply and action. It is a rarity that salesmen and saleswomen give customers the feeling that your one of the family.
