Matt went out of his way to help me find the car I needed. He searched inventory from across the many Herb Chambers dealerships, then when we found a car - he personally drove the a used car up from B needed. A close friend recommended Herb Chambers to my wife and I a while ago. We went in and Brian Delsesto sat down with us to figure out what we wanted. We test drove a few cars and finally settled on one that we liked; all we needed to do was figure out the final price and financing and we were good to go. Brian came back with a price that I knew he could beat, so I pushed him on it. He did the "let me go talk to my manager" and came back with a much better price; my wife and I were ready to pull the trigger. Before we did, I asked to see the break out of where each of those dollars were coming from. When we sat down to do the math, it turned out that the price he gave me did not include some pretty significant fees that I had been told earlier were built into every sale. I pointed out that these fees were missing from the price and Brian reassuringly said "I wouldn't ask any more questions about missing fees if I were you...you're getting a great price." Naturally my wife and I felt that we were being given the royal treatment -- they were waiving almost $1500 worth of fees! We proceeded onto the financing discussion and spent the next two hours figuring out all the details. Finally, right before we were ready to sign all the documentation (after being there for over four hours, from start to end) Brian came back and told us there had been a mistake and that his manager's had forgotten to include roughly $1,500 in fees (yep, you guessed it, the very same fees I had pointed out earlier). I thanked Brian for his time and my wife and I promptly left. One week later we purchased a brand new Honda Accord for roughly the same price at a competing dealership. More

I WENT STRAIGHT TO MY MECHANIC TO HAVE MY CAR INSPECTED. HE COULD NOT FIND A LEAK...NOT EVEN A DRIP. WHAT A SICK FEELING I HAD....SCAM ARTISTS AT THEIR BEST...CONTACTED CUSTOMER SERVICE AND THEY STATED THE 3 MECHANICS FOUND THE LEAK, BUT NOT ONE OF THEM SHOWED ME WHERE...SEEMS COMMON PRACTICE AT THIS DEALERSHIP.....BEWARE!!!! My salesman was John Henriques who was a pleasure to deal with. There was never any pressure to buy. John was very low key and seemed genuinely interested in making me happy and comfortable with my decision on a new car. He encouraged me to take my time and test drive all cars I was interested in and return when I was ready. When it was time to negotiate a price we settled quickly on a fair price which showed me that Herb Chambers respects knowledgeable customers. I also dealt with Bill Panaccione, the finance manager, who was also pleasant and patiently explained my options on additional items like an extended warranty and Lo-Jack, etc. Again this was done without pressure or over selling. This dealership seems to have a philosophy of making less on a transaction is ok because they want to be a sales volume leader and have happy repeat customers. We were interested in a small car and Bruce was very through in explaining all the feathers of the Fit. When we expressed an interest in purchasing a Fit Bruce was very efficient and concise in explaining the financial issues of the transaction. We found the dealership to project a friendly professional atmosphere.
