Honestly, I should have known better, since this IS a car dealership; a good reminder to make sure you get everything in writing. I put a refundable down payment on a SUV, came to terms on the disposal of my dealership; a good reminder to make sure you get everything in writing. I put a refundable down payment on a SUV, came to terms on the disposal of my current lease, and waited three weeks for the SUV to come into the dealership (there is a wait). Clearly the terms they offered me were too good (for me) and I was told that if I couldn't produce the terms in writing, then they could not honor them. Mind you, this was the same sales person, who incidentally recalled nearly everything else about our conversation. Shame on me for expecting integrity. I ended up walking away, no harm no foul, but would have really loved that car. My assumption is that it went to the highest bidder, even though I put a down payment on it. More
