I have purchased my last 5 cars from Marque so it was a no brainer when my last truck started having issues. I always purchased used cars in the past, but not usually a Toyota. I brought my mother into the dealership to get a new car. This was her first time buying a Toyota as she had previously bought Volkswagens. I called ahead on a stormy night to let them know I was coming in. I gave the guy who picked up the phone a quick rundown of what I wanted and what I was looking for. My GPS sent me to a residential neighborhood in Auburn, so the manager (whose name I forget), gave me directions and then actually stayed on the phone to make sure I got there. That was very nice of them. I checked out a 2011 Corolla, explained that I was looking at several other cars and this was just the first one I was driving, but that I'd been looking online and had a good idea of prices and trim lines. I made it clear that I was test driving a series of vehicles and that my husband and I were doing a sort of "divide and conquer" run for the first round of test drives. They still tried to pressure me into buying that very night. Everyone is trying to get rid of 2011s right now, or so you'd think, since it's the model year end. Apparently Herb Chambers doesn't care, since they quoted me sticker price and only bothered to contact me again on the 31st to beg to be able to match the price I was given at another dealer just so they could meet their quota. I ended up buying from another dealer who had much better prices and a much more laid back approach. It irked me that Herb only changes his prices when confronted with the clearly published lower prices at other dealers. More
