Let me start by saying I am an Industrial Engineer and Industrial Electrician. I had an issue that I could not correct on a 2016 Honda Civic. The dash display gave me The following warnings after changing the rear brakes: Electronic Parking Brake Problem, Tire Pressure Monitor Problem, Brake System Problem, Brake Hold System Problem, Power Steering System EPS Problem, Vehicle Stability Assist (VSA) Problem, Hill Start Assist Problem, Drive Carefully System Initializing…. Let it be stated that the Power Steering is working as it always has, and the Emergency brakes are engaging and holding the car. I took it to the Dealer to see if they could locate the issue. They came back wanting me to pay $2,624.30 for repairs. They want to replace the rear caliper assy. And the sub harness for the wheel speed sensor/parking brake actuator damaged. The issue is the parking brake WORKS. When I jacked the car up and spun the wheel and it spun. Then put on the parking brake and I could not spin the wheel. I would be very skeptical of any work done at this dealership. I will never return. When I ask what makes him think the brake caliper is bad, I was told he is a master mechanic and he knows. More
