Sleezy sales GM renegged on offer Had horrible experience with service. GM promised to make this up to us with next lease. Offered me the same deal I had with prior 2016 Pilot EXL le Had horrible experience with service. GM promised to make this up to us with next lease. Offered me the same deal I had with prior 2016 Pilot EXL lease for 2018 Pilot EXL lease. When my wife and I came in to accept the offer, GM Renier ran a car fax. It accurately showed that we replaced the windshield to crack from flying debris. No body work needed or performed. Renier then said this car was in an accident and the value CarFax indicated was less than what he offered. CarFax is a repair and maintenance reporting service, not an appraisal service. He did not care and was trying to get me to pay the cash for the trade in value he originally offered. He realized it was not as profitable as he wanted and took 45 minutes to find some service to indicate that the trade was not worth what he offered so he could renege on his offer. Went to Honda Universe in Lakewood and they gave me the same deal Freehold reneged on. Saw a number of customers (at least 5 the next day) that were in Freehold who made the trip to Lakewood and all agreed to deals that Freehold would not. It seems that Freehold is looking to move fewer vehicles at higher profit amounts since the ownership group agreed to purchase Nissan across rt. 9. We liked our sales person Phil Esposito, but Renier had the final say. More

Gave a negative review of the experience and Sal called my wife and verbally attacked her over the phone. This was to the point where she felt threatened by him. He said my wife misunderstood him, but by the looks of other reviews, this appears to be a constant theme. More

Buyer Beware 7/16/2018 I am just writing this review I bought the car in May 2018. I was hoping Freehold Honda would at least acknowledge me and do the righ 7/16/2018 I am just writing this review I bought the car in May 2018. I was hoping Freehold Honda would at least acknowledge me and do the right thing and call me. But, I guess they got the sale and forgot about me. First of all they sold be a car 2015 that was scratched on all three panels. They filled in the scratches with black paint. When I got my car wash the scratches surfaced. I call them within the week of buying the car. They looked at it and said it was over $900.00 of damage and was not going to pay. That was very dishonest. Also when I bought the car once they made the sale. They did not want to have anything else to do with me. I asked the salesman if he could show me how to operate different functions he said don't come on a Saturday because he usually has a lot of customers. (was I a customer to?????) I spoke to the Manger and he was of no help. The only decent person there was the Service Manager . He acted like he had some sympathy. I think this dealership is strictly about sales and not customer satisfaction. I am regretful that I dealt with this dealership. Beware of their honesty. More

Non-Trustworthy people Forwarded an e-mail with a quote from a nearby dealership. Mr. Vance had previously sent me a text in writing saying he would beat the number by $400 Forwarded an e-mail with a quote from a nearby dealership. Mr. Vance had previously sent me a text in writing saying he would beat the number by $400 if received in writing. When asked for the total price, his numbers indicated extra charges that I never seen elsewhere or in any other dealership. I asked for the stock or vin number of the vehicle that he was referring to and there was no answer. I sent the quote from the other dealership to his management as well. Unfortunately, this moment onward, I could not trust these guys and moved on with another dealer in the area to purchase my vehicle. More
