I’ve been bringing my cars to this dealership for over 20 years. I’m much closer to the Bradenton dealership but choose to travel the extra distance because of the service I receive. I believe the service advisors are honest, professional, knowledgeable, and will go above and beyond to provide the best service possible. Joe is one of those advisors. He took care of my car and did his very best to keep me updated on the situation with my vehicle. This is the most important review you will read today if your shopping this poorly run Honda stealership. I found a used car on their website, price was great, to great, so I called and emailed. Girl named your shopping this poorly run Honda stealership. I found a used car on their website, price was great, to great, so I called and emailed. Girl named Olivia called me and we talked about the price, she explained the price was actual. I asked several times will there be “fees” added once I arrive? Driving 45 minutes to get there on a Saturday. Olivia assured me, no other fees, so I pointed her to the verbiage on the car listing on their website ( see photo ) it clearly states “no additional dealer fees” she says let me be sure, puts me on hold, to check with her manager, keep in mind she gets paid for every appointment that shows up ! She comes back on and says, yep, my manager says only tax and license plates will be added. Great ! I’m on my way, I get there the car is in dirty , ratty condition. But the price is good so maybe I can fix it up. After the test drive, the manager comes over with the “first pencil “ $8000 higher in fees, lol lol, I explain I’m not buying your worthless paint protection xx packing, rust and dust, he says well , I know but we are a corporate store and have to offer it on every first pencil. The sales girl is embarrassed at this point, the manager disappeared like Houdini for 20 minutes and comes back with another pencil, it’s down to $5700 higher now, lol lol, he says look “ you knew that price was going to change “ I explain about my conversation with Olivia, he says “ well I’ll have to have a talk with her !” Lol lol, this guy is priceless! I get up to leave , he says well, how much ? How much ? I say forget it you have no credibility at this point, as I’m driving out the poor sales girl get sent out to tell me we can do it for $5000 higher now, I leave, I’m about 20 minutes away and Olivia calls ! You can’t make this stuff up, she says my general manager feels bad and wants you to come back, it’s only $2500 higher now. Lol lol…I kept Driving, this my friends is the quintessential bait and switch, this is archaic tactics, old school, car dealership xx, this is why people hate buying a car, Honda of Sarasota you should be embarrassed, are you that desperate? You need to do better. And, to Olivia, your most likely young, go find yourself a job that doesn’t require you to lie to people. More
