The most pleasant car-buying experience I've had to date I've purchased 3 cars from different dealerships (other than Honda of Tenafly) but I have been to dozens of them. Most of the time, there's some sort I've purchased 3 cars from different dealerships (other than Honda of Tenafly) but I have been to dozens of them. Most of the time, there's some sort of pressure or anxiety surrounding the experience even when accompanied by a disingenuous smile. This is definitely not the case at Honda of Tenafly. From the get go, the experience was easy going and friendly... genuinely so. My salesman, Matt, has a practiced casualness that accompanies a solid understanding of the cars he sells. He is a veritable diplomat for Honda and they should be proud to have such a skilled salesman on their team. I actually enjoyed my time at Honda of Tenafly which is a rare thing indeed to say about a car dealership. The whole team beams with a sense of pride in what they do and how they do it. There's something about the way this dealership is run that sets it worlds apart from any other I've been to. There is a heavy focus on pleasing the customer. Of course they are still there to sell cars and make money. But the team that I worked with proved that this can be done with tact, style, and genuine friendliness even on a busy Fourth of July weekend sale. Stephen in Finance actually took the time during this busy event to rework the financing and research other banks in order to lower my APR an extra 0.2% below what I had already agreed to and this was after their normal closing time.. I would recommend this dealership to anyone and would direct them to Matt as their salesman. Though I have a feeling the whole sales team at Honda of Tenafly could probably earn the same marks just from the atmosphere of the place. The usually gloomy and exhausted faces of car-buying-customers was noticeably absent. Though it could just have been my excitement at grabbing an unrealistically great deal on my CRV. More
