We felt like Paul cared more for our well being than the actual sell, which was quite comforting. He took extra time out of his day to find the perfect vehicle for our family that fit our needs as well as our budget. We did not feel pressured like we did with other dealerships. The prices are aggressive and fair, and at the end of the sale we did not feel taken advantage of or "ripped" off. We look forward to enjoying our Sante Fe for years to come, and when our Honda Civic is paid off, we will be coming back for another Hyundai. We highly recommend Hyundai of St. Augustine, and when you go there..ask for Paul! More
I placed an online inquiry and was immediately contacted via Email by Eddie.He responded to my questions and made an appointment for me to come in and test drive the vehicle I was interested in. He went above and beyond to make sure that I had a full understanding of all the features, fuel economy and options avaliable for the vehicle. He was very honest and I recieved OUTSTANDING service!!!! After I made the decision to purchase the vehicle (at a GREAT deal), He made sure that I had a completely FULL tank of gas and also made sure that my phone was linked to the bluetooth in the vehicle and the car was fully detailed, among all of the other things on the "checklist". I had an added option to be done to the vehicle in which he was very concerned with making the appointment immediately for me to bring the vehicle back to have the added option placed. This was by far a very pleasent experience and I will definetly refer others KNOWING that they will recieve the BEST possible service AND the BEST possible deal! More

When I arrived at the dealership, I found Darryl to be very courteous and knowledgable about the car I was purchasing (2010 Hundai Genesis). He walked me through the operation of the car and explained all aspects of the sales. I had been approved for a loan and Darryl was able to offer me a lower interest rate through the Hyundai of America Corporation Financing. We stopped at Hyundai of St. Augustine as the first dealership on our shopping trip. We were very interested in a Hyundai but wanted to look at other vehicles just to get an idea of what our options we dealership on our shopping trip. We were very interested in a Hyundai but wanted to look at other vehicles just to get an idea of what our options were. Demetrius Davis was very helpful, laid-back, and far from the typical pushy salesperson as he showed us around the dealership. He was patient with my picky tendencies and went out of his way to help us find the car that was exactly right for us (all while walking around in 90 degree heat!). After we'd looked at our options we told him we wanted to check out a few more dealerships. Instead of trying to pressure us to stay and commit to a Hyundai right then and there, he encouraged us to look around and come back. After looking at other cars, we knew that we wanted a Hyundai (the Elantra Touring to be specific) but it was Demetrius' sales style that truly brought us back to this dealership. If we hadn't been comfortable, we would have called it a day and gone to another Hyundai dealership to look some more in the next few days. Once we returned, he discussed our options with us and was very upfront about which vehicles would get the payments where we wanted them. He had already printed up a price and payment sheet while we were gone just in case. We really wanted to get into a different color (and nicer) model but it put our payments out of the range we were comfortable with. However, we felt that we would be settling for the other model and didn't want to "settle" while buying a new car. Demetrius worked with us until we were able to get the payments to a comfortable price point and we left the dealership with the exact car we wanted. We would absolutely go back and 100% recommend Demetrius to friends and family in the future. Overall, today was a very pleasant car-buying experience. Several visits later we still had no luck in finding the car we wanted, and the dealers were not willing to work with us on price despite having bought three cars from them over the past ten years. One night I decided to check out the website for Hyundai of St. Augustine. Their website provides very detailed information about their inventory and the cars they're expecting to receive. I couldn't believe it when I spotted the exact car I had been looking for. My husband called the dealership the next day and was put in touch with Joey Cassata. My husband commented on how easy it was to do business over the phone with Joey. Joey was very knowledgeable and was prompt at returning all phone calls. He and my husband were able to negotiate the price over the phone, and an appointment was set for us to pick up our new Elantra. When we arrived at Hyundai of St. Augustine, Joey was waiting for us. Our new car was clean, full of gas, and ready to go. Joey was very friendly and professional. He took time to show us all of the car's features and make sure we knew how to use them. He also invited us to call him if we had any questions or needed anything at all. The financial side was handled by Eddie Brooks. Eddie was great! Where was he when we bought our other cars? He accommodated every request we made. He could not have been any easier to work with. From start to finish, our experience with Eddie was very positive. I would definitely make the trip to St. Augustine to buy another car from Hyundai of St. Augustine. Working with Joey and Eddie made it a wonderful experience, and I love my new Elantra! More

My former car was going to be my last car purchase as it was a 2009 Hyundai Sonata which I loved. Fortunately no one was injured in the accident but my car was a total loss. So, not only had I lost my car but I was dealing with the shock of an accident. I am a single,independent lady looking towards retirement and this was a unique situation as the purpose of having insurance is to make oneself whole again - not to necessarily "profit" from accidents. I knew I had to be cognizant of the amount of debt or investment I was willing to take on at this stage in my life. So, I began my due diligence pouring through the internet looking at vehicles that would be comparable to what I had before. Hyundai of St. Augustine has a very good, informative web site that is easy to maneuver. I began my search via the internet to find the right car to fit my needs. I met a number of salespeople through these searches. I found Paul Smathers early on. I called him about one of the cars on his company's web site and we began a dialogue. I spoke with him probably 4 times before I went to the dealership and actually met him. I had heard like many of us have, that women in the car buying market are targets for unscrupulous salesmen, and, had indeed had a very similar experience at a dealership the day before I met Paul. The day after the bad experience I found a car I was interested in on Hyundai of St. Augustine's web site. So, again, I contacted Paul and we discussed the car. Paul was very forthcoming about the specifics of the vehicle and quoted me a fair price. I live in Jacksonville and decided it would be worth the drive to take a look at this option. Once I arrived at the dealership I was greeted by several of the employees in a very friendly yet respectful manner who escorted me to Paul's desk and got me a cold drink. Paul was finishing up with a new car buyer and even brought the customer over to meet me as well. The car I was interested in was still being detailed but Paul had it brought around and, after a thorough "walk around inspection" we proceeded with a test drive. I found Paul to be attentive, informative (he knows his products), respectful, trustworthy, kind and compassionate. He is so easy to be around. He even shared some pictures with me of his wife (who is quite beautiful)and proudly told me about his daughters. The test drive went well and I decided to have him work the numbers. He did so in a very efficient way and explained very well each line item. We proceeded with the process. I then met with Eddie Brooks, who is the Finance Director with the company. I found Eddie to be so personable, knowledgeable and efficient as well. Folks, this company has a great team that they have put together and at no time was I ever pressured in the least and there was no "game playing" that you will find at other dealerships. I can honestly say this car purchase was a wonderful experience. I would highly recommend this company and its' people, and, more specifically Paul Smathers for a solid, enjoyable good value in a car new or used. More
