Let me tell you about my terrible experience at this sketchy dealer. I recently brought in my 2022 VW Toas with under 20,000 miles. I came in with a concern about my rear brakes wearing out, which is st sketchy dealer. I recently brought in my 2022 VW Toas with under 20,000 miles. I came in with a concern about my rear brakes wearing out, which is strange for such a young car. After not hearing from the service department for hours, I was told that my car would not pass inspection without replacing the front brakes. When I questioned this prognosis, I was met with very vague text messages and limited photos. As a college student, my father was assisting me with traversing these car repairs. After several tries calling the service department, we finally got through to them by calling their sales department. After speaking to an unknowledgeable representative, we noticed these photos showed damage that could only be seen with the tire on. As per NYS DMV requirements for an inspection to be complete, a tire must be completely removed in order to fulfill inspection requirements. After several back-and-forth, vague, and rude conversations with the service rep, we were put in touch with the service manager, Joe. Joe was downright rude and disrespectful to my father, over-explaining things to him and not listening to my father's concerns about the ignorance of my original problem, as well as the fact that they had not removed any tires. After this conversation, we made the decision to go elsewhere. Upon my arrival to pick up the car, I was cornered by Joe in his office, where he tried to play off the previous interaction with my father. Later, he stated that he should have dealt with me instead of my father. Finally, after he continuously tried to show me more details about my car after I had explicitly said the moment had passed, the mechanic pulling up my car almost hit not just my father's car but also floored it backwards into their garage. Overall, this was a pretty terrible experience, and I'm still trying to figure out where a magical hole in my brakes came from when they decided to finally show proof that the front brakes needed replacement.
