As you can imagine, the gut shot and fear of making a bad choice swept over me and my wife when we first experienced trouble with our used car after the first 12 hours...but that was met by a genuinely caring team over at Ide Volkswagen that assured us we would be cared for.... and they did just that! We shopped at the right place!! Thanks Guys!! We were looking to buy a used car for my wife and initially intended to buy a Volkswagen, but stumbled upon a used Buick Regal CLX at Ide Volkswagen. My wife fell in love with the car and the trade-in offer for our vehicle exceeded my expectations.... $6100 toward a $9400 used Buick. The Buick was smooth as glass until the next day when the transmission seemed to be "hanging up". This occurred on 2 separate occasions. Push the pedal and almost no forward motion....back to the dealership. They kept the car, had techs, managers, and consultants drive the car, but could not get the issue to repeat and no codes coming up. Here we are....owned the car for less than 12 hours and already in for repair and concerned that the problem couldn't be identified. They were in constant communication with us and we were very pleased when presented with 3 well thought out options. 1. Return it, and get my other car back with all fees covered. 2. Apply all monies already paid toward another car. 3. Cost free 1 yr/12,000 warranty added to the car... Just to clarify, this is a 2011 Buick with 82K. If this is a transmission issue, it won't get better on it's own and won't take long to show again.... The warranty covers all issues related to motor or tranny. We only intend to keep this car for 2-3 years as our family is transitioning, so we were looking for a moderately priced car. I've been very pleased by their response, in light of the difficulty, and feel completely comfortable and confident as we move forward.
