I went in to Jack Madden with a certain price to pay and they took care of me. Paul McCarthy asked questions of what I was looking for and what I needed. I would like to start by saying I have bought well over 20 cars in a 20 year span. Out of all of the transactions I have had , this has been by far the best. I purchased a 2005 Mustang Convertible from the showroom of Jack Madden Ford. It has 14,500 miles, is stored in a heated garage in the winter and was in perfect condition. Much to my horror, I noticed a b of Jack Madden Ford. It has 14,500 miles, is stored in a heated garage in the winter and was in perfect condition. Much to my horror, I noticed a bubble in the paint of my hood. Upon further inspection their are numerous other bubbles under the the edge of the hood. Eventually they will also be noticeable. After investigating the cause, I discovered that between 2000-2005 there was a major paint defect in cars that had aluminum body parts. Unfortunately mine is one of those cars. The corrosion would have appeared sooner if the car was not taken care of as well as it has. The initial cause was due to iron contamination of the aluminum body parts prior to being painted. I called Steve Carter, Sales Manager to set up an appointment for him to see my car. I had recently purchased a car for my son and after many problems Steve was the one who resolved our issues. He referred me to Al Brown, Service Manager since this was his field. He would call him and let him know I was on my way. Al Brown did not greet me or inspect my car. He hid in his office like a coward. Allan St. Germain, Service Advisor took my information and told me to call Customer Affairs. I then took the car over to Val Eglitis, Body Shop Manager who was familiar with this problem but needed Al Brown's okay to set up an appointment. I also called Customer Affairs and was told I was under warranty and I would be contacted within 4 business days. I called Al Brown and in his cocky attitude told me they would fix it at my expense. I informed him that I would be filing a claim with Small Claims Court. He said "go ahead." Jack Madden does not stand behind their product nor do they step up to the plate when they know there is a problem and a solution and decides it is more cost efficient to "get out of it". I look forward to my day in court and need less to say, we have purchased our third and last car from Jack Madden. More
Air conditioner not working after purchase. Received the royal runaround and then told they would not cover my cost to repair. Dealer very rude and could have cared less after the sale. Was my first stop and my last. Went looking to get into a newer vehicle, had tons to choose from, found a used fusion that looked great. Price was right and they took both my trades. My Fiancé and I were looking to buy a new car and up to the point before we went to Jack Madden we visited a few dealerships, and none compared to them. Their service and friendliness was top notch. I first worked with Vicki over the phone and through email; she was very precise and not pushy at all. She had everything in order for when we got there and this helped streamline the process. Next we dealt with Cy. He was great, he showed us a complete in and out of the vehicle, something the other dealerships did not do. Cy was very knowledgeable about the Edge and answered all of our questions. After we went inside to go over the numbers Cy did a great job explaining everything and showed us our options, and he was also very helpful in getting what we wanted for our trade-in. After we purchased the car Cy had brought it up to the service department to have it cleaned and washed. He also filled the tank for us. He also helped us with some of the options on the inside so we would be comfortable when driving home that day. Cy was one of the best salesman I worked with during our search process. Finally we met with Lee, the Finance guy. Lee like the rest of the employees was very informative and helpful with the financing aspect of the sale. Lee went over all of our options in detail and answered our questions very thoroughly. He also went over and helped us make a decision on some of the extra options with the car. Lee was very honest and that is very helpful when dealing with the financing part of the sale. Overall, this was a great team to work with and they were very informative and helpful. The great thing about this dealership is they don't give you the run around and they help the car buying process seem fun, rather than a hassle. I would recommend this dealership to anyone interested in buying a car. More
