Thank you for sharing your concerns. We would like to provide additional context regarding this matter. The vehicle in question was purchased in 2024 from a Ford dealership and was covered by a Ford extended service contract. According to the customer’s statements and vehicle data, the vehicle had been displaying overheating warnings prior to breakdown and was driven until it ultimately became inoperable and required towing to our facility. At the direction of the warranty provider, our technicians were required to perform diagnostics to the point of failure. This included an internal inspection and a photo documentation session as specifically requested by the warranty company to support their claim review process. The warranty company conducted its own evaluation based on the diagnostic data, vehicle fault codes, and the images provided. Based on their findings, the warranty company determined that the engine failure was caused by the front grille shutters remaining closed, which led to the overheating condition, and the claim was subsequently denied by the warranty provider. At the customer’s request, we also contacted the General Manager at Veterans Ford to request goodwill assistance. After review, they declined to participate in the repair of the vehicle as well. In reply to the Service Manager Chad Hauser, neither you nor your tech listen. First off, let me say this. Are you the service manager that was on duty while I was on hold 15 mins? Then your tech went to get a supervisor and when he came back, said the manager was busy and didn't have time to speak to me? Then continued to place on me on hold for another 30 mins until I had to hang up. Is that you? Do all your service managers hide behind keyboards? Bc im fairly certain you all can get my number from Eremias your tech or my service ticket. Second I never stated I purchased the vehicle from your dealership but that I chose (over Jaguar Tampa, Jaguar Clearwater) to bring my Jaguar to your service department. Are you or are you all NOT representatives of the Jaguar brand? I fully understand that the warranty claim was denied, the entire reason I called 12/31 was I had asked for pictures of the engine part of failure so I can show another mechanic. This is actually what was supposed to happen for the warranty claim . When I called your service dept. stated you HAD NO PICS, NO VIDEO. nothing was proven that work was actually done and I have nothing I can show another mechanic, nor do I have anything I can go after the Warranty company with for denying the claim. This brings up more red flags. Thats what started all of this. Then I was told after the fact that you all decided to "scope" the engine with a video camera. I never was told that and when I received the bill it was for 6 hours of labor only to run a tiny camera through the engine. This is all news to me and surely sounds like a major shortcut. So you all claim the vehicle needs a new engine however when it really just sounds like you wanted to file a $21K claim. Obviously the warranty company is MOST DEFINATELY going to find a reason not to pay. Another mechanic not only had to tell me that engine was never taken apart but that it DOES NOT need an entire new engine. Again to re-iterate you all dont even have pics or video of the part or engine taken apart in question on a $21K claim? You have no support the work was done, Specfically work I did not know about? You have no documentation in a luxury service department? You all can keep making this public or refund me that bogus bill you gave me that I never authorized and was a total shortcut and likely even cost me the denial of the claim itself. You have my cell phone in your files because you already know what vehicle this review is on.
