The entire process was relatively painless and only briefly negotiated on price for my ancient trade. I do recommend the dealership at least based on my purchase, which by the way was cash so I didn't have to deal with financing, except to the extent that a credit check had to be run. More
They simply don't care I had my car stolen and once the police found it, I had it taken to Jay Wolfe Toyota because that's where I'd purchased it. The estimate that they gave my insurance was to rekey my car and detail it for $387.61. They said that everything else wrong with my car was basic maintenance repairs. When I picked up my car, they hadn't bothered to even so much as scrape the snow off my windows. The interior detail job that my insurance paid for wasn't done nor had they even given the courtesy car wash they say comes with all service work. I mean, the freaking marker stuff from the tow lot was still on my windshield. The service dept was closed so I was able to get a random sales person to scrape my car. I asked a sales manager if he knew why my new key didn't have a fob. He told me that not all keys come with a fob. My question then was...well why didn't the service member (Gabriel, I think) add that to the estimate to my insurance?? Who wouldn't want a fob with their key especially if it was stolen with the car AND the insurance was paying for it? Even if you didn't know that it was taken, why not at least ASK? Because they simply don't care. Anyway, so I drove my car home and noticed that my brakes were worse than they were before. I called Legends Toyota to make a Saturday appt to replace my key fob and to look at my brakes. The service manager there told me that my brakes were so bad that they were metal on metal and that, legally, they'd have to have me sign a waiver if I elected to not have them serviced. Can you believe that?! Jay Wolfe KNOWINGLY gave me back my car with NO BRAKES and no warning about the condition of my brakes. No mention of a waiver, no estimate, NOTHING. Why? Because THEY SIMPLY DON'T CARE. More
