It was a simple, straightforward negotiation, and unlike most other car purchases, I didn't leave feeling like I got ripped off. I came in well prepared, he respected my research, I respected his honesty, and we came to an agreement. All we had left to do was pick a color (and ship the car in from three states away!). The salespeople were incredibly welcoming and accommodating of me, my wife, and my kids. Even during their hectic period at the end of the month, we were never left to feel ignored, rushed, or harassed. Our salesperson especially, Chris Hallenberg, was absolutely fantastic. I don't think I've ever felt gratitude towards a salesman before after making a deal; Chris is the first. Jerry was very friendly and quick to make what we wanted work. He was very knowledgeable of the car we were looking at, let us drive it on the highway, and did his best to not waste our time. I do not like buying cars or maintaining them. In the past I have found the entire process to be a long, drawn out game. It says alot about people when they will sit with your 87 year old mother, who has dementia, while you take the time to make an important financial decision. My wife and I were considering a new car and vistied the Jennings dealership. We were in no rush to buy a car but we did go at the end of the year when they were offering year end incentives. Our friends were also picking up a car and he was quite busy between the 2 of us. Alan and Dion helped us the next day when we were not sure about what car to get. They gave us numerous possibilties of cars to chose from until we found the match. There was no pressure to buy except what we put on ourselves as it was year end. They both are considerate people and actully listen to what you are saying which was not the case at some other dealerships. They spent alot of time with us and were very knowledgeable and helpful in explaining the whole car buying process This is my 1st chevrolet so I dont have any experience with their service dept. I went first by myself to test drive a Volt, more curiousity than anytning. Alan Stern patiently took me out in one, even though he knew I was not even a possible sale on that day.
