Appointment Schedule Scheduled appt. on 1/14/19 for a 10:15 appt on Thursday 1/17/19. Service advise told me they were short handed and may not get to my car that day...m Scheduled appt. on 1/14/19 for a 10:15 appt on Thursday 1/17/19. Service advise told me they were short handed and may not get to my car that day...my response was please give me a courtesy call if they were not able to get to it. By 4:30P.M called Greg the advisor and he had no status on the car and said he would get back but he thought they would not get to it till the next day. I ask him if I should take the car to another authorized dealer. He said no they would have it done. Called the next day Friday around 9:30 and he said he did not have any status and would call me. So I showed up at 1:00 and asked the front office to get my car whether it was done or not. Service advisor told me they were getting my car in now and they will have it diagnosed immediately. They came back in the next 20 minutes and said the rear wheel bearing was bad and told me how much it would cost which I approved but he also up sold me claiming I needed a new battery which I approved. I still don't believe I needed a battery but figured it would be okay since it is a GM authorized item. Sadly stated every time I go in they are always trying to up selli me on something. By the way the last oil change I had done I talked with a salesmen of considering the purchase of a 2019 Malibu LTZ. After this incident and their constantly trying to up sell me I reached the conclusion that I would do a better research on who I buy from in the future even though Jim Butler is the largest GM dealer in and around St. Louis. I'm debating whether I should take my car for future oil changes/ and or repairs. to Jim Butler. It is sad your dealership is trying to make more money on unnecessary purchases. More
Long wait time for simple service First off, why schedule an appointment when it takes 2 hours for just an oil change ? Seriously. This makes no sense to me whatsoever. Also blindsided with “recommend “ services on my truck for 500 bucks. Give a guy a heads up that it’s coming up or something. And why send me coupons in the mail for 39.99 oil change when I can’t use them. Oh that’s right oil change was 80 bucks. Thanks. Maybe next time please don’t move my drivers seat all over just to pull it out of the shop and park it. or maybe I should go to a dealer closer to home that offers better service prices. 80 bucks for just an oil change is robbery. It’s a Silverado for god sakes. I appreciate you also trying to get people inside the garage prior to service also but then you have people literally just standing there in the cold because garage doors keep opening. Poor set up and customer service. I probably won’t be back. Bad experience. More
Oil Change and Tire Rotation My Oil Change took over 2 1/2 hours. Needless to say, I was somewhat upset but my service man was very apologetic and took care of it for me. Horrible My experience on Saturday with Doug Kircher was a horrible experience. Oh my God, I have never been treated like that ever from anyone there before. When I arrived a few minutes later a service advisor came over he said, Ms. Carter, I said yes we walked over to his desk I sat down. About 5 min later I still didn't know his name so I asked him what's your name? He replied Doug. While I was talking to him he was texting on his phone. I explained I was there because of my engine light was on but now off. He pulled the code the code was an old one. Then he said he couldn't do anything because the light was off. He also said when the light comes back on to bring it back. He handed me his card. I felt like he was rushing out so I said I came all the way from North County I need to have some work done. I asked about a price for spark plugs he quoted a price of $189. I said that's not the price I was quoted after I said that he looked in the computer then he pulled the work order and I signed. Normally the service advisor would say okay Ms.Carter have a seat in the waiting area and enjoy a bottle of water or a cup of coffee that didn't happen. So while I was waiting room he was standing by the cashier when yelled across to me hey you! I didn't think he was talking to me at first until I pointed to myself and he said yeah you. I was pissed off he had my order in his hand he knew my name. Any time I have been to Jim Butler the service advisor has always came close to talk with respect. I called Malory a total of two times she said I will notify the manager about my experience. I told her it will be a long time before I come back to Jim Butler Malory promised Doug will not be my service advisor. I feel like part of the Jim Butler family I have always been treated with respect until 1/19/20. I was so angry and pissed off was shaking.
