MADE WHAT WAS WRONG, RIGHT. My experience at JIM BUTLER CHEVROLET didn't start out excellent by a long shot. I was hunting for used dodge trucks on auto trader when I found a 2011 RAM 1500 listed through JIM BUTLER. I discovered that JIM BUTLER was still opened so I called looking for additional information that wasn't on the listing. I talked to "GATOR", JIM BUTLER'S phone and internet sales rep. He answered all off my questions and then asked if I wanted to come out and see the truck. I said yes, and that I would be out the following day after work. GATOR said that the truck would be out front and gave me the name of a sales rep to ask for when I arrived. When I arrived, the truck was not out front as promised. I found the sales rep whose name I was given. He mentioned that he tried calling me twice during the day. We discovered that the phone number he was calling was off by one number. He stated "They were doing a few little thing to the truck and that it would be brought out as soon as they got done." My parents were helping me with the down payment so I stepped outside to wait for my dad's arrival. When my dad arrived the sales rep came up to me telling me they were still doing "Little Things" to the truck. I asked, "How long were these little things going to take because my dad was pressed for time." He replied, "Next week." I waited 7 days with no updates on the truck. I e-mailed the sales rep, rather frustrated, asking what was wrong with this truck that its taken this long to do "little things." He told me all the different stages their used vehicles go through before they are resold. Not to mention the truck had to go to a dodge dealership to get 2 safety recalls taken care of. I waited a few more days when the sales rep called me saying that they were waiting on front seat covers and asked me what I wanted to do. I replied, "I want to see and drive the truck." He gave me the name of another sales rep because he was off the following day. When my dad and I arrived. we found the truck on the lot. We started giving the truck a good look over. We could tell that the truck had been sitting less than 15 minutes because we could feel the heat coming off the motor. I went inside to find Bill aka "FUZZ". Bill came out with the keys. I asked Bill to open the hood because I wanted to listen to the motor as Bill started it. The battery was deader than a door nail. Bill jump started the truck then we went for a test drive. During the test drive I could only find one thing that needed attention other than the battery issue. There was just a little play in the front end. I agreed to buy the truck. Bill said he would have both issues addressed before I picked the truck up the following night. When I picked up the truck there was no problems with the truck starting so I assumed that the battery issue was resolved. As I drove home I discovered that the front end play was not fixed. When I left for work the following day the battery was dead again. I had no choice but to text Bill at 6 in the morning on his day off. He told me to get the truck jumped and bring it back out to JIM BUTLER. He would get me a rental at their expense. They gave me a CHEVY TRAVERSE. Bill called me the following day asking me how the rental was working out. I told him that it wasn't because I wasn't able to do some of the jobs I needed to do because it was not a truck. He asked me to bring the rental back out and he would get me a truck. When I arrived, he loaned me a 2014 CHEVY SILVERADO from their used truck department. JIM BUTLER'S SERVICE DEPARTMENT found that I had a malfunctioning computer module and replaced it under the warranty. They also fixed the play in the front end. Long story short, my sales rep, Bill "Fuzz" went above and beyond to make sure the repairs were done right and that I didn't have to miss work while the repairs were being made. More
