AVOID this Dealership I bought a brand new 2018 Honda Accord Touring from them in Sept 2018. Having less than 600 Miles on the odometer the car began having a bad rattle an I bought a brand new 2018 Honda Accord Touring from them in Sept 2018. Having less than 600 Miles on the odometer the car began having a bad rattle and multiple electrical issues. I was unfortunate enough to have Sam Wu as my service advisor. I had to take my car back many times even twice in one day for failed repairs. After ‘fixing’ the dash rattle, they admittedly never even took the car for a test drive to verify it was corrected. I spent an hour driving back to the dealership to pick the car up, only to turn right back around because it was obviously not corrected. During one of the future visits for the rattle Sam even went as far as telling me the rattle was secondary to my weight. Apparently the Honda Accord cannot transport a 250 pound person without rattling. Come to find out later the rattle was actually secondary to loose driver side knee airbag. When my car was taken in for some of the electrical issues, Sam actually showed me my sales invoice on the service lane computers and told me that I paid way below invoice for the car and should just be happy with what I have and stop complaining. I wasn’t aware that the safety, functionality or customer service were based upon the price I negotiated with the dealership at the time of purchase. In addition to the many trips to and from the dealership for failed repairs, I had to continually fight to be provided a loaner car. Sam informed me on multiple occasions that he was no longer allowed to provide me with a loaner car. Sam actually stated a few of the times that his service manager (Tim Murray) was “pissed” that I was ever even given a loaner car. Again, this is a brand new car. I wasn’t aware that I needed to buy an additional car to drive while my brand new car was in the shop so frequently. Lastly, I think it’s worth mentioning that my car was in the shop twice as much needed because each time they worked on it they damaged something else. On one visit they damaged the window tint. Another visit they broke the glove box and the final visit they broke the air vents. I was delighted to find a reputable dealership to finally fix all of the issues that Jim Coleman Honda wasn’t able/willing to correct. The only reason I did continue returning is because every other dealership said they couldn’t cover the damages caused by the staff at Jim Coleman. At the end of the day, Jim Coleman Honda has provided a horrendous service experience. It’s obvious their service advisors and managers lack any form of customer service skills and their service technicians lack the skill required to correctly identify and properly repair automotive defects. The service department at this dealership has proven through the multitude of interactions that they lack pride in their employment and could careless about the image they create for the entire dealership as a whole. Below standard oil change at Jim Coleman Under the President’s Club program for oil changes, Jim Coleman Service department put in various types of motor oils into my car, ignoring my repeate Under the President’s Club program for oil changes, Jim Coleman Service department put in various types of motor oils into my car, ignoring my repeated written request for using 5w40 which was specified by the owner’s manual. Over the years, Jim Coleman sequentially put in 5w30 (by William Zanti), 5w20 (by Zanti), 0w40 (by Zanti, who ignored my request for 5w40), 5w40 (by James Artis, who honored my request), 0w40 (by Skylar Worthington, who ignored my written request for 5w40). Such inconsistent oil changes made it difficult to top off in between services. After my complaining to Steve Seely, they provided a manufacturer’s bulletin to claim all these oil types are acceptable. In fact, 5w20 is NOT acceptable, clearly excluded by the bulletin they sent me. For all my other cars oil changes, every garage shop heeded my request for using manufacturer suggested first choice of oil types. Jim Coleman s practice is below industry standard. More
