When a service manager ghosts you, not a good experience We brought our Volkswagen Routan to this dealership to handle an issue with the vehicle overheating. we actually had it towed into the dealership. T We brought our Volkswagen Routan to this dealership to handle an issue with the vehicle overheating. we actually had it towed into the dealership. They diagnosed the problem as a bad thermostat and water pump. i paid almost $1000 to have the repairs completed. we picked the vehicle up and a few days later, we noticed the heat wasn't working. we dropped the car back and asked them to look at it, that maybe they forgot to plug something in or maybe this was somehow related. They completed diagnosis and said "it is totally unrelated to the previous repair. it was a pin hole puncture in a hose "a common problem with these cars" that repair would have cost another $500, so we decided to trade the car in for a different vehicle. we had a firm offer for the vehicle from a different car company. we located a car we wanted across town and on the way to drop the car off, the engine began overheating. my wife was on the highway, so it took her about 4 miles to get to a location where she could safely stop. she pulled over and the engine seized. we had the car towed to a repair shop and they said the engine was condemned. We called Rafael Sandoval that day (Friday) and he committed to call my wife back to let her know if VW would warranty the repair they completed. he told her he would call back on Monday. We didn't hear from him so we called 2 times per day since to try and reach him before we dispose of the car. it is now late Thursday (5 days) and he has not called. I spoke to him initially because the other staff gave me bad information. He came on strong and said all the right things but his follow through sucks. At this point i need to get the vehicle out of the repair shop. I am going to reach out to VW corporate care before i junk it. More

Battery replacement My battery died while I was waiting on my daughter to get out of school. I had someone jump me off and went to autozone upon arriving at autozone they My battery died while I was waiting on my daughter to get out of school. I had someone jump me off and went to autozone upon arriving at autozone they informed me that they couldnt install a battery for me. So I called jim Ellis vw and talked to a very nice gentlemen named Tate. I explained my situation to him and he worked me in the same day. I was so thankful that they could work me in. I have never had a bad experience with this dealers service department. They are very caring people there. I will be returning More
