I had an appointment for 2:00 to get an oil change, tire rotation and check of my brakes, and a re-repair of an issue previously worked on (back seat latch). At approximately 4:00 I was told that I needed rotation and check of my brakes, and a re-repair of an issue previously worked on (back seat latch). At approximately 4:00 I was told that I needed new front break pads and my front rotors resurfaced. I was told that the brake work would take an additional hour. The hour came and went. When I went to check on the from the garage viewing area, I found that my GX460 was still on the rack and nothing being done. I went you my service advisor and, after he investigated, found out the bits on the rotor resurfacing machine had to be replaced.- delaying the resurfacing. After more time went by and I saw that the mechanics had gone for the day, I went to my service advisor and he, after realizing the mechanics had in fact left, offered me a loaner to drive home and my car would be delivered to me. While this service was appreciated, I would have preferred not to have spent hours at the dealership and instead hove received regular updates on the repair status so I could have gotten the loaner sooner and not waisted 4 hours of my time sitting at the dealership. More
