I took my Toyota vehicle to Joseph as it was close to my home. No one at any Toyota dealership knows what is needed at the specific mileage even though Toyota has a punch list for it. Hours after the drop off, a service writer contacted me about a "Safety Issue". My tires were bald he said. They were measuring 1/32" (.031")depth he said. I had just driven to Cinti. from Cleveland in heavy rain and experienced no hydroplaning issues. He didn't care, he wanted to sell me OEM replacement tires for $300ea. A quick internet search shows I can get these all day long at any tire shop in the vacinity for ~$260ea. Tires are OEM original 80kmi warranty Firestone's. He offered no prorating for 40kmi of use. I had them finish as is. I got home used my own caliper and measured worst case depth of .160-.200 or about 5-6 x times better than he told me. People were friendly until questioned about obvious contradictions. Laura, the phone person, was fine to talk to but feigned ignorance when questioned about obvious contradictions from the service writers. I talked to no techs and the service writer was unavailable when I picked up the vehicle. More
