We focused on getting another minivan, and we knew what we were basically looking for but we were open to pretty much any brand other than Honda (we previously had an Odyssey and we HATED it! It was engineered for a Japanese driver, not an American.) In the process of looking, we hit every "Pre-Owned" lot on that street, and pretty much anywhere else within a 25-mile radius. We wanted to be sure of our choice, and we weren't going to jump at the first model the salesman would show us. And it seemed that at every lot we'd stop at, a salesman would come out, introduce himself, and would immediately ask, "How much are you looking to spend?" I will NEVER answer that question as it immediately gives the advantage to them..... and then they start pushing the cars THEY want to get rid of. And I'm sure I pissed them off because as soon as they asked that question, I would immediately walk out. All the way down Lehigh Street at the Emmaus end, we finally walked onto the lot of Kelly Used Cars. As usual, a salesman - Rob Crail - walked out and handed us his card. But things from that point onward were thankfully completely different than elsewhere. We said that we wanted to look around, and he said that was OK; he would leave us alone until we had questions or saw something that we liked. Then he went back inside, leaving my wife and I to look at each other with big smiles on our faces because there was no pressure at all! A relaxed car shopping experience was definitely a welcome change! We found a car which we both loved - a 2007 Jeep Liberty, and we bought it from Rob. And the buying process was as straight-forward as it could ever be: no hidden fees or costs, no tricks, twists, or any other games. I have to honestly say that it was the most pleasant car-buying experience I have ever had. When we bought the Jeep, we asked Rob to be on the lookout for a good deal on a minivan, and about a month later he called us with a great deal on a 2010 Chrysler Town & Country..... which we checked out that evening & immediately put a deposit on it to hold it while our credit union did the loan paperwork. The rep from the credit union who put the loan together also commented to us about how smooth everything went, and that Rob had everything ready for them to make sure things went smoothly. Years ago when I lived in NJ, I worked as a tech (mechanic) in a Ford dealership. Occasionally the dealership manager would let us techs sit in on the training classes the salesmen would have to go through. I got to see first-hand how the dealership would do it's utmost to squeeze the customer for every last cent. And the salesmen at that dealership thought of themselves as 'actors' who had to play a role to get the biggest dollar amount from every sale. One of the salesmen actually wore a wood cross on a leather string and played himself off as a "born-again Christian"; and he suckered a lot of people in. Just thinking about it still makes me sick 25 years later. Integrity was a foreign concept to them, and sadly it is foreign to most car dealerships still. I found it very refreshing to see that Rob values his customers all the way through and even after the sale. It felt great to be dealt with as a hard-working person, and being treated with respect and fairness. My wife and I will DEFINITELY go back to KELLY and ROB CRAIL the next time we are in the market for a car; and we recommend him highly to everyone who is looking for a new/used car and wants to be dealt with honestly and fairly. Plus - we bring the cars back to the dealer for routine maintenance so they have the records on file when the time comes to trade them in. Prices are comparable for general services. More

In the last 2 years I have purchased 3 vehicles from this dealer (Dodge Ram, Dodge Durango and Jeep Compass) and never once had issues in dealings with the sales people. My Durango wa once T-boned and once rear ended and both times I took the vehicle to the body shop at Kelly for repair and never had issues with them either. Sadly I can NOT say the same for the service side of the company and due to the lack of professionalism and ignorance displayed by them I will not spend one more penny at Kelly. I recently started having issues with my Durango when I would start it the thing would just shut off. At first I thought it was just me imaging things because it was before I put it in gear so I questioned myself to if I even started it so I let it go but then I started it and drove and upon stopping at a stop sign it shut off. I called Kelly and spoke with Dave in Dodge about the issue and if it was covered by warranty because I wasn't sure how long the warranty was. He proceeded to look up my car via the VIN and tell me it was 3 years/36000 miles and the problem I was having was electrical. I asked him how he would know this having not seen the vehicle and he abruptly responded that his 20 years experience tells him this. I further questioned that maybe it was the fuel pump or something like that and he got agitated that I questioned his knowledge. After multiple times of him stating his experience I decided to just let it be and move on. Shortly thereafter I called another local dealership (Sands in Quakertown) and spoke to them having a very similar conversation minus the ignorance and preaching on experience the lady explained that while it is only 36k mile warranty which I was over my car did have an open recall for a fuel pump censor that was likely causing the issue and proceeded to schedule my service for this recall. I can't help but wonder how someone with 20 years experience and someone who looked up my vehicle via the VIN never noticed or thought to look at this. How someone who is the service adviser for Dodge didn't know this issue, which had a recall for it, existed after probably servicing many Dodge vehicles for this same issue. How someone who specifically had the consumer bring up the fuel pump and it still didn't make any bulbs in his brain with 20 years experience go off. I would say that this is one employee in a department of many but I have had previous dealings with the service department manager that have not gone well at all either. The service department overall lacks management and leadership that fails to understand that they are a direct reflection on the company and therefore can cost the company business. As stated previously, this dealership has lost a client who has spent in excess of 106k in under 24 months due to one department that plays a pivotal role in the business. Note: I gave a 3 star review because I didn't feel it was proper to bring the overall star rating for the company down due to one departments professionalism. More
