First time in 40 years of ever using a Dealer for repairs I was always raised to never go to a Dealer for car repairs. They charge twice as much as car repair shops. Well I have to say Kia of Wilmington pro I was always raised to never go to a Dealer for car repairs. They charge twice as much as car repair shops. Well I have to say Kia of Wilmington proved me wrong. Mainly because of the customer service I received from Mike Matteo the Assistant Service Manager. In our first conversation he laid out sound reasons for me bringing my 2011 Kia Soul for service. He sounded very knowledgeable and like he really cared for my business not just my money. He went above and beyond during the whole experience. And having a long background in customer service profession I know good CS when I see it. I would have given 5 stars but as Mike knows they have not been able to find out why my car is still stalling out. But I have confidence that they will. The Best Dealership I’ve Encountered My experience with Kia of Wilmington was nothing short of phenomenal. From the time that I walked into the dealership until the time that I drove off My experience with Kia of Wilmington was nothing short of phenomenal. From the time that I walked into the dealership until the time that I drove off of the lot in my new vehicle, the staff were amazingly courteous, knowledgeable, thoughtful, PERSONABLE, and encouraging. Drew worked with my budget & credit to find me a car that I am extremely happy with. He answered all of the questions I had about the vehicles, financing, warranties, etc that I knew nothing about. The most important thing being, he put me into a dependable vehicle that I can afford. Anthony was also very personable and helped me get the loan for my vehicle (which I was nervous about) and he took time to explain everything to me. He also arranged for me to be picked up to come get my car which I appreciate greatly. They made the “first time buying” process very easy & FUN. I can tell the staff enjoy their careers and they are truthfully good at it. Overall, I’m EXTREMELY happy and confident with my choice and I couldn’t have done this without Kia of Wilmington. Tried to buy a car, only to have it sold from under me I went through the process of checking out a car from Kia Wilmington. They allowed me to take it over a weekend to have it thoroughly looked over by a I went through the process of checking out a car from Kia Wilmington. They allowed me to take it over a weekend to have it thoroughly looked over by a mechanic and then return the vehicle to the dealership. I was interested in buying the vehicle and just wanted to settle a bit lower on the price. We negotiated on the price for a few days afterwards. We finally came to the price, which I thought we were both satisfied with. From there, they said the dealership would make a few small repairs on the vehicle before I purchased it, as I had requested. The next day, I asked for an update on the repairs, and they said the vehicle was sold to someone else. I thought that since we had agreed on the pricing and the work order was put in, that it would be held and sold to me. I guess not. I guess that was my mistake in dealing with a shady dealership. I can't believe they wasted my time when I was a paying customer. I wish I could get back that time and all the hassle I spent on this whole crappy experience with this dealership. DO NOT BUY from here! More
