The salesman LLOYD JOHNSON lied to me and his word twisting sales manager backed him up. When i purchased a used 2023 Santa Fe, the salesman LLOYD JOHNSON, told me that the oil changes would be transferable to any dealership for 3/36000 miles. He specifically told me that the oil changes would be taken care of at any dealership. So finally when i'm at my local Hyundai Dealership in Bowie, MD, they tell me that the oil change service is not covered. So i call LLOYD JOHNSON, and he agreed to send me a money order to cover the oil change. Well now, i need my second oil change done and LLOYD JOHNSON won't even return my text or phone call. THEY'RE NOT GOING TO COVER MY OIL CHANGE for 3yrs/36000 miles. And his sales manager KEITH, is just a waste of time. They are the reason why car dealerships have a bad name. DON'T BUY FROM KOONS WOODBRIDGE HYUNDAI. THEY WILL LIE to you just to make a sale. SCAMMERS ! STAY AWAY ! Lastly, i'll be reporting them to the BBB to see if they can offer me some kind of remedy. I took my 2024 Hyundai Sonata for service, and just 1,500 miles later, the splash shield fell off on the highway — it had no screws or clips at all. Clearly a bad installation, not road damage. When I returned, Service Advisor Zach refused responsibility, just blaming the mileage. That’s no excuse — a properly installed shield should never fall off. Also reported a horn issue — they ordered the part, called me in, and then claimed it had to be ordered again. When I said this is unacceptable, Service Director Jeremy Gigogne responded, “Why are you coming here then?” — instead of fixing the issue. This place is dishonest, with poor customer service, careless mechanics, and zero accountability. They left me to deal with the damage and cost. Please avoid this dealership. I’ll be filing complaints with Hyundai Corporate and NHTSA. More

Mr. Hernandez did more than selling the vehicle to us. He sold Koons. They should be proud to have such a salesman on their staff, kudo. It's a team effort at Koons, the salesman, sales manager, and the financing manager. We didn't finance, but the paperwork was handled by the financed manager. It's all digital and we were given a flash drive with images of the signed documents. It's our first time buying from Koons. We started out with our long time Hyundai dealer from whom we had bought new vehicle previously. We made an offer which they accepted, then they said, "we made a mistake in MD vs VA sales tax." We are from MD buying from a VA dealership. Fair enough, it was an honest assumption mistake, but they didn't come back with an updated price. We had no time to waste, so we went to Koons. We could have financed and then paid it off after a few payments to take advantage of the HMF $1,500.00 incentive, but the time and effort weren't worth it. We paid cash. More
