Koons Hyundai Woodbridge uses some shady practices. Car was advertised as Certified Pre-owned for a certain price, but when you get down to the numbers, they add $1,000 to the price they quoted to c Car was advertised as Certified Pre-owned for a certain price, but when you get down to the numbers, they add $1,000 to the price they quoted to cover the Certification through Hyundai. We asked what happens if the car doesn't pass Maryland Inspection, we were told it passed Virginia's, it should pass Maryland's. When it didn't pass Maryland's inspection due to tire tread, this was their used car sales manager's response: "As a Virginia dealer we do not guarantee any out of state inspection as every state has different guidelines for completion. You can be assured that your vehicle had gone through the proper level of preparation under the state of VA but no additional repairs will be completed." While they are very nice while you are buying the car, after it is an as-is sale and they are unwilling to do anything after the sale. They sold the car with tires that wouldn't pass Maryland Inspection and shouldn't have passed Virginia Inspection either. They also screwed their license plate holder and temporary tag directly to the front bumper partially covering the Front Collision Assistance sensor, I had to purchase a front license plate holder from Hyundai and install it myself, they no longer return emails or phone calls. I recently brought in my new Palisade (only 120 miles) due to a check engine light and low engine oil warning. Robert in the service department was professional, courteous, and very helpful throughout the due to a check engine light and low engine oil warning. The technician verified that the oil level was correct and ran multiple diagnostic tests but found no underlying issues. He reset the check engine sensor, and Robert explained that if the warning reappears, I should call to schedule another appointment—at which point Woodbridge Hyundai will provide a loaner vehicle while they investigate further. Overall, I was very pleased with the prompt, professional support and the reassurance provided—especially given that this is a brand-new hybrid Palisade. More

The car was not ready - they didn't even begin until I got there so we sat around for at least a half hour until I could see it. It went downhill from there. As a result of all the time wasted it took me over 3 hours to get home as I immediately hit rush hour. It was not a pleasant experience. More

We've only had the vehicle for a week, but jane men pleased so far. I was disappointed a corporation as large as Koons wasn't willing to offer their $500 discount to a used vehicle... would have been pleased so far. The "reconditioning fee", over $1500, was not advertised in the sale price. It came as a big surprise once we started the paperwork. That was disappointing as well. The "good deal" we thought we found was just shady sales tactics. If I'm buying the used vehicle as is, it should be sold "as is" as in you don't add fees to the list price after the fact to account for vacuuming, washing, and oil change. More
