Been a loyal customer for over 30 years! Won't be doing business with LaFontaine Chrysler we are done , worst service department ever. Made an appointment for an oil change and to check the, cooling fan in business with LaFontaine Chrysler we are done , worst service department ever. Made an appointment for an oil change and to check the, cooling fan in seat makes a noise, passenger mirror clicks back and forth when opening and third time back for engine light coming on ( every time you tell us it the gas cap sensor.) Nine days later you tell us it won't be looked at for another week or so, why make an appointment? Oh that's right your new service manager told us it is to keep your place inline to be looked at next, while I'm paying $$$$ for a rental car because you don't have any available . My truck is a 2019 Ram Limited with less than 30.000 miles. To bad "all" the old Shuman Chrysler employees left they knew how to run a service department and how to treat customer's. When I told the service manager this was crazy I would like the keys to my vehicle, he handed me the keys with a what ever, no apology or I'm sorry your not happy, LaFontaine Chrysler is not worth one star!! The only thing they did great was live up to every stereotypical slimy used car sales lot. Dishonest through the whole process. Not transparent about the product or the financials. Unwilling to negoti stereotypical slimy used car sales lot. Dishonest through the whole process. Not transparent about the product or the financials. Unwilling to negotiate on vehicle price unless I financed with them. Pressured and rushed to sign on a vehicle. Failed to meet my prequalified interest rate as promised. Viewed the vehicle in the dark (6 PM in MI) so did not realize how dirty the cabin was. Promised to have it detailed and fix minor issues with blinker we noticed and we could pick the vehicle up in 24 hours. 7 days later I still did not have the vehicle. It was only after I told them I was no longer interested did they make something happen. The vehicle ended up being filthy in the daylight-there was even items left from the previous owner and the blinker was never repaired. Can not contact them after you sign the papers to get any updates. I would not recommend this dealership at all. More
BUYERS BEWARE. Car was misrepresented. I shipped a vehicle that was in “perfect condition.” Everything was supposed to be working. I received the vehicle and there is rust in four locations on the b vehicle that was in “perfect condition.” Everything was supposed to be working. I received the vehicle and there is rust in four locations on the body, the engine components have a high amount of corrosion, and the air conditioner is not working. The salesman responded, “I can’t say I checked that.” We are disappointed in the purchase. Then I contacted them a month later (time it took to send me the title) and requested the dealership help in getting the title lien released. The former loan was not released on the title. They would not assist me. I had to contact the bank of the former owner which took several hours. Do no buy from this dealer unless you are local and can verify everything yourself. It took a month to get the extra set of keys to the vehicle after a comedy of errors. Dishonesty and lack of customer service are acceptable to LaFontaine. More
WOW! This dealership is THE BEST of all. We have dealt with LaFONTAINE Highland, & Fenton, Traverse City Jeep, Brighton Jeep & the former Rose Jeep, over the past 26 years. By far, Walled Lk far surpasses with LaFONTAINE Highland, & Fenton, Traverse City Jeep, Brighton Jeep & the former Rose Jeep, over the past 26 years. By far, Walled Lk far surpasses them in Sales & Service! Stanley helped us with our recent trade-in & we’re happily driving our Grand Cherokee, our 12th Jeep since 1995!! Stan began working on our trade at 9:30 am & stayed with us for the entire day, until we finally drove home in our Grand Cherokee at 5:45 pm. Stan even helped us transfer our personal belongings from our Cherokee to I the new Grand C.!! John, Sales Mgr, assisted in the negotiation process. John was MORE than accommodating. His sole purpose was to please us & it was genuine! That’s not the case in most dealerships. Sharon, leasing asso, was the friendliest employee we have ever met. She chatted with us during our visit, which ended with hugs at the day’s end. Truly a sincere person! When shopping for a Chrysler/Jeep vehicle DON’T waste your valuable time anywhere else. Go directly to Jeep WALLED LAKE. Ask for STANLEY RIDA. You will not be disappointed. Loyal Jeep owners, Pam & John R. Milford MI More
In this crazy used car market, we were so happy with LaFontaine in Walled Lake. We called before we drove and flagged a couple cars with Lindsay. She was ready with keys when we rushed in and we signed LaFontaine in Walled Lake. We called before we drove and flagged a couple cars with Lindsay. Dishonest and shady. The discounts and deals they promise during verbal negotiations will disappear when you get the final paperwork. When you ask what happened they get loud and aggressive. Incredibly shady during verbal negotiations will disappear when you get the final paperwork. When you ask what happened they get loud and aggressive. Incredibly shady, I'll never buy from them again. Avoid this steal-ership. No integrity. Then they demanded that I leave and threw me out of the facility. Very aggressive and loud, nasty bullies. Totally unprofessional. Worst dealership I have ever been to. More
This is the most awful, awful dealership I have ever gone to. Imagine buying a used car at a dealership, what was absolutely FILTHY, stains on seats, 100% filth in truck. I asked why so terrible and they s to. Imagine buying a used car at a dealership, what was absolutely FILTHY, stains on seats, 100% filth in truck. I asked why so terrible and they said they clean them up after the sale. REALLY ?? I was stuck as we came in from out of town, and had to buy as we had a rental car we needed to turn back in. The truck had 3 tires low and I asked them to check the ait, and no one had a clue on how to check the air in the tires,, I mean REALLY, we are at a Car Dealership and you cant put air in the tires and figure out why the low air tire sensor is on ????? We had a GREAT Sales guy, but the support he had was gross, uneducated on used cars and condescending in how they spoke to us. This facade that we are a family business and get the family deal and all that is crap.. Everyone should be ashamed of themselves...terrible experience. More
ATTENTION TO ALL CURRENT AND FUTURE CUSOMTERS: Do not fall for this car dealership scam. This is my second and last lease from this dealer. The sale process went smoothly but once the sale is completed, fall for this car dealership scam. This is my second and last lease from this dealer. The sale process went smoothly but once the sale is completed, then you will not matter as a customer anymore. The sale rep, Cameron Hussey, would never return my calls and emails anymore. Also, the general manager Jose Zeigler is encouraging this business practice. After I returned my first lease vehicle, I received a bill from U.S. bank after one month requesting me to pay $400 disposition fee. I never paid this disposition fee for any of my previous GM leases, once you lease another vehicle from the same maker, this disposition fee is waived. I complained this time directly to the general manager Joe Zeigler. His response was that for my second lease, we had to go through Chrysler capital for a better rate. Therefore, I have to pay the disposition fee to U.S. Bank. It was the dealer’s decision to use a different financial institute. No one at the dealer has ever mentioned to me that I would have to pay the disposition fee to U.S. bank. What is my incentive to lease again from this dealer, if the disposition fee is not waived? It was a big mistake that I have switched from GM to Chrysler dealers in the first place. I never had to pay this disposition fee when I leased a new vehicle from GM dealers. I am going to leave negative reviews to this dealership on all social media platforms. I will escalate this directly to FCA- they should be aware of their dealers business conduct. Meanwhile, I will file a claim with the district court clerk for a case up to $600. I do not mind losing more capital than the disposition fee of $400 but I am not letting this dealer getting away with scamming honest tax payers. I won’t do business with this place ever again, and neither should you. Take this as your WARNING! More
The team at Shuman worked very hard to find us the right vehicle at the right price. Their patience, diligence and transparency contributed to what was a great customer experience for us.
