My advisor is very nice and helpful, but I think he works under pressure to produce. He told me to bring my preowned certified car in with any issues while under warranty to be looked at to make sure any is under pressure to produce. I guess it’s a gentle and profitable way for the dealership to get business. Taking him up on the offer, when I experienced an unusual crackling noise while accelerating, I took the car in to be looked at under warranty. It turned out to be nothing that required repair. But I was asked to pay for the inspection! When I refreshed his memory about our earlier conversation, he said I needed to pay for something, so he charged me $250 for a software update (which was unnecessary and did nothing at all for the issue I had or otherwise!) So now I’m weary of taking my car there, and I’m considering other options next time something comes up. More
