This dealer is under new ownership and many of their techs left. As a result, we waited many weeks just to get an appointment and were told that once we dropped off the car, they probably wouldn't even techs left. As a result, we waited many weeks just to get an appointment and were told that once we dropped off the car, they probably wouldn't even be able to look at it for about a week. That part turned out to be true. Ultimately, they fixed 2 of the 3 problems. But, we had a strong disagreement on the 3rd problem which was an alignment of a camera that guides the lane assist and ACC. As the car is still under warranty, I felt the alignment should be covered however Volkswagen will not cover it past 15K miles. The dealer said, "we didn't sell you the car" and "it sounds like you have problems with the design of the car, and we don't build the car". Ultimately, after running my battery dead and offering to fix it for $320 (I fixed it myself for $230--not difficult btw), I took the car somewhere else and the other dealer found damage behind the grill that was causing the mis-alignment. The fixed it promptly, washed the car, were a pleasure to deal with and even helped me get the insurance company to cover the damage. I will not be back to Lewisville. More
