After 12 years of dealing with a nearby Miami BMW dealership, I’d come to expect underhanded, high-pressure tactics when it comes time to transition f After 12 years of dealing with a nearby Miami BMW dealership, I’d come to expect underhanded, high-pressure tactics when it comes time to transition from an old lease into a new one. Leasing my last two Beemers, in fact, left me feeling battered, bruised, and desperately in need of a disinfecting shower. Promises were broken. Commitments weren’t honored. Attempts were made to suck extra money out of my wallet. I was made to feel stupid. When I went to Erik Mansen at Lexus of North Miami, I did so with the lowest expectations imaginable. When he said he'd get me into a lease, no problem, I didn’t believe him. When he quoted a monthly lease rate, I expected to be told at signing that it would be higher because of my good-but-not-perfect credit score. When he told me that the air conditioning and vented seats would cool a Lexus with black seats far faster than the air conditioning in a Beemer with beige seats, I thought, "Geez, he’ll do anything to get me in a car today." Truth be told, my experiences with BMW made me doubt everything he said. I was wrong. So very wrong. With Erik, there was a complete lack of xx. He got me into my new Lexus without a single misrepresentation, untruth, or an ounce of pressure. He gave me more than I asked for, treating me with respect, and making the experience a fun one. I’m no longer a Beemer xxxxx, because Erik turned me into a Lexus Lady. And he earned my loyalty, in the process. More
