I was lied to about what was being done to my vehicle. I went in for an oil change. Was offered to have the seatbelt re- call fixed. I asked how long, wa told not long at all, about 45 minutes. After 1 I went in for an oil change. Was offered to have the seatbelt re- call fixed. I asked how long, wa told not long at all, about 45 minutes. After 1 hour, I asked for an update. Was told almost finished. After 2 1/2 hours I had to leave and was then told that the seatbelt was not changed. So I had a 2 1/2 hour oil change. Ridiculous! Just be honest. How long was I supposed there, 4-5 hours? More

I had an appointment for 9 AM. When I made the appointment I was told there were 2 recalls pending. One for the side mirrors and one for the passenger air bag. I arrived and 08:50 and was checked in by my service advisor Brenda. Brenda said it shouldn't be very long at all. Approx. 2.5 hrs later Brenda came and apologized, telling me that the tech had ordered the mirrors and that they hadn't started yet. I asked that they finish the oil change and I could make a separate appointment for the recall. Brenda returned a while later and said that a Honda Rep was here and would not let her release the car until the recall was done. At this point I should have raised a stink but didn't. Brenda obviously felt terrible but it was obvious the rep had pulled rank on her. Whoever this Honda Rep was, was in effect holding my car hostage. Brenda said they were assigning two techs to finish ASAP. My car was eventually freed from captivity almost 4 hours to the minute after I brought it in. My wife and I have been doing business with Liberty Honda for a very very long time. Through our recommendation our 4 children, their spouses, and several extended family members have purchased and have had their cars serviced by Liberty Honda. This has been my worst experience at Liberty ever. 4 hours for basically, an oil change. I want to emphasize that I do not hold Brenda responsible for this. I don't want her to take a performance hit for what was done against my wishes and outside of her control. She handled herself very professionally, and felt very bad about this. She did comp the oil change which was very nice, and much appreciated but the situation should never have reached the point it did. The Honda Rep should however be held accountable. More
